Most people in Dallas are thrilled that the Cowboys are hosting a playoff game on Saturday night.

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is not like most people.

Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas.com reports that Cuban is angry with the NFL for scheduling the Cowboys' game against the Eagles for Saturday night, when the Mavericks are also hosting the Utah Jazz.

According to Cuban, it's just another example of the big, bad NFL doing whatever it wants and not much caring about how its actions affect anyone else.

"I know we're just little pissants compared to the NFL, but seriously, the NFL is turning into the ugly American when it comes to sports leagues," Cuban said. "They don't give a crap about anybody but themselves."

Cuban, who got into the football business this year with the UFL, said he thinks the NFL should view itself as a partner with the NBA and other sports leagues, and should treat its partners with respect.

"There's a balance between all the leagues," Cuban said. "They deal with similar issues. They deal with issues with copyright, antitrust, [Federal Communications Commission], all kinds of things. And it's going to bite them in the *** one day."

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello declined to respond. Probably because he figured it wouldn't be diplomatic to say, "If Cuban thinks we're going to alter our playoff schedule for one pissant regular-season NBA game, he's crazy."

I've never loved the Cowboys more than I do at this very moment.

Why in the world should the NFL view itself as a partner with the NBA?

The NBA is actually the opposite of a partner. That is, it's a competitor.

This is quite asinine to say the very least.

Lol at Cuban thinking Dallas fans care about the mavs. Dallas is cowboy country and know team in that area is going to take the spotlight from them. Cuban should know where he stands on the foodchain among Dallas area sports, a very distant 2nd.

For some reason I'm thinking the first game of the year was away because the Rangers had a home game.

I'm sure some of the Mav players hate they can't go to the Cowboys game.

Its not like the Cowboys are right across the street....they are several miles away. Also, dont the NFL schedules come out before the NBA schedules for the following season? if so, blame the NBA for putting the Mavs on a Saturday or Sunday when the Cowboys could be playing.

At any rate, kudos to the NFL for making Cuban pee her panties.

They have a billion freaking games, and NBA doesn't start to matter until March or so anyway. They schedule games in cooperation with the TV networks. Cuban can bite a flame grilled hot dog.

Cuban, showing what an utter dipstick he is again.

NBA- 82 game regular season...playoffs that last for months it seems.

NFL- 16 regular season games. At most 4 postseason games for two teams.

Yeah, lets have the NFL tailor their schedule around you.

Cuban's anger is misplaced.

The networks are the ones who choose when these wild card games play, not the league.

He should write a letter to NBC, not Goodell.

Cuban being an idiot.

How about this, you knew the playoffs would be starting this week and the games would be Saturday or Sunday. Why didn't you request away games for the next several weekends?

Failure to plan on your part does not constitute an emergency on the Cowboys part.

Cuban needs to spend a year in Nebraska.

That is what America is about.

He doesn't get it.

Cuban hates anything that takes attention from himself. He's the ultimate tool.
