I am against any sport that takes 82 games or more to determine who goes to the playoffs.

I am looking at you baseball and football.:chop:

Ummm...you might want to rethink that last line

You guys are missing the point (as per the usual).

He isn't saying basketball is more important, or that a regular season basketball game is as important as a football playoff game.

Its just doing this hurts his and the NBA's revenue. No one is going to go that game because they are either going to go to the game in Dallas or watch it on TV.

There might be 82 games, but having basically 0 attendance and the lower ratings is still going to hurt, when it really didn't need to.

Proper coordination between the leagues allows for everyone to make the money they are capable of making.

Football is moving towards having games on Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Which is certainly good for the NFL and its ability to broadcast more games.

But this really comes out of left field.

Read my post.

It isn't the league's call. Not only that, if it wasn't his team, it be some team in another town.

He'll just have to get over it.

Um, we understand that. We just don't care.

The NBA shouldn't have scheduled games that would conflict with the NFL playoffs.

the NFL is turning into the ugly American

Totally lost me right there. Thanks for not only being stupid for complaining about a Playoff game being scheduled at the same time as a nigh on meaningless regular season NBA game but also making a snide reference to your country and mine.

To hell with you, Cuban. Why don't you turn into the French and beat a hasty retreat?

Cuban, showing what an utter dipstick he is again.

NBA- 82 game regular season...playoffs that last for months it seems.

NFL- 16 regular season games. At most 4 postseason games for two teams.

Yeah, lets have the NFL tailor their schedule around you.

This, we agree completely on. Word for word.;)

I just don't get it! Watching the Mavs on TV tonight. Tons of empty seats.
Can't he realize - this is a football state! He can have his turn after the season is done!
Plus, I just don't get basketball. Way too many games.

Boring!
Should play for ten minutes and that's it - it's over. Why waste all that energy; just play 10 minutes of Basketball, along with 20 timeouts per team and an hours worth of commercials and be done with it.
Get to playoffs and go back to the normally boring format.

He hosted Monday Night Raw (which goes head to head with Monday Night Football) a few weeks ago and was dropping flyers about it at the home basketball games for weeks in advance urging Maverick fans to watch it.

Hence he was trying to take ratings and revenues from the NFL.

He is a moronic tool.
