News: PFT: McCarthy responds to Jerry saying it's "not crazy" he might get a new deal

Resigning McCarthy after allowing him to waffle and waste an entire season is just the type of lazy, I am smarter than you move Jerry and Nepo Boy would make.

He calls it a "positive vibe" and this team needs all the positive it can get.

But the part where he says "not something I'm really focused on" says a lot more.

He's not coaching for this job. And he didn't ramble on about he'd love to bring some continuity to the team, and the players and the organization as some in his shoes would do.

Basically let's not talk about that is what he said.

Every team has injuries, but you hope to avoid losing your starters for extending time coz depth is razor-thin. As mentioned before, we as a team have avoided any major injuries over the past 2-3 years, except for a player or two. Either way, this team wasn't going to do much this year regardless.....Dak or no Dak.

If you look at how our season ended, lose multiple starters to FA, do nothing in FA to improve, it's likely you are going to regress. You and i spoke before the season and i said I couldn't see how we are better this year than last. This is just uglier than I think most expected.

Imho, it's not difficult to agree with such doubt, since he's already sold his house in expectation of this whole "new deal" thing going awry.
