What else can MM say? I mean Jerry went “all in” to make sure the WR group was adequately addressed in the draft and offseason. And he signed his diva WR who disappears in big games a huge deal.
MM has all the tools to succeed! Not like there is going to be an influx of viable NFL receivers anytime soon!

McCarthy said the right thing, even if he is uncomfortable with the Cowboys receivers. No sense in besmirching his own player to the media.

McCarthy knows there is little chance Jerry would make a serious move for Adams. Besides, what does McCarthy care anyway? He knows he won't be here next year.

Question is who wants to absorb the contract, and as broke as Stephen n Jerry act about the salary cap don't get your hopes up.

Adams doesn't move the needle for me anyway. Another weapon for Dak? How many times are gonna go thru this like it's new remember Coop n CeeDee together, also Adams is slow and this offense needs speed.
SAMEEEEEEEE thing I said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His base salaries for 2025 and 2026 are way to big so as Mac said above his contract will have to be re-worked, extended or something to get those numbers down for most teams.

I mean, what else is he supposed to say? They’ve been disappointing? They can’t get open? They suck after Ceedee? He’s the coach of the team, he needs to give a stoic answer that projects some confidence even when it’s not close to being true

He can't say he's interested. It's in the article that it would be tampering.

I think a point of contention would be the 2025-26 cap hits. While no longer guaranteed, Adams may want some type of revision to the deal for more guarantees. He's going to be 33 next season.

We've seen guys like Julio Jones and Hopkins decline quickly in their 30's.

If it's day 3 pick, might be worth getting him. But I wonder if there's a battle to get him if it goes to a day 2 pick.
I think the analysis done on WRs shows the usual drop off is at 28 or 29.

Speaking of WR drop off, Cooks' YPT is 4.8.

Good DC for sure. His personality was better fit as a DC as well under a "harder nosed" HC.
It's funny how more Coordinators don't just decide they'd rather stick to the X's and O's on their side of the ball instead of taking on the added managerial headaches of being the HC and then some responsibility for the other side of the ball.

There's no shame in being a good DC.
