Monday Night Football ratings up for the season, way up for Week 3

Last night’s Cowboys-Cardinals game was easily the most-watched Monday night game of the season so far, and through four games Monday Night Football ratings are up over last season.

Cowboys-Cardinals got a 9.3 overnight rating for ESPN, easily the highest-rated Monday night game of the year.

So it would appear, according to the article, that the narrative that is trying to be pushed about the NFL losing in ratings and so on has been a lie.
I think all games other than those involving the Cowboys are seeing ratings decline. Also, comparing to last year probably isn't a good measuring stick as overall ratings in 2016 I recall hearing were down 10%.

Ratings for NASCAR are down big time. Ratings for baseball are also down from last year.

You guys have no clue why the ratings have increased on Monday night Football. It is not because of Dallas its because of this man named Sergio Dipp!!!

1. Its the Dallas Cowboys.
2. Sunday Night football this past week was in the toilet ratings wise.
3. Cowboys handled the whole situation the right way and gained a LOT of respect, fans, and viewership as a result.

Two things: Cowboys were the Week 3 Monday Night Football draw. And last year's MNF was up against Presdidential debates. The MNF year/year comp was incredibly easy, and the preliminary ratings were up, I think, 68%, which covered a lot of Sunday's sins.

I wonder how much the ratings dip has to do with the number of people streaming content, rather than using cable/satellite/etc? Are streaming numbers even included?
