Probably because nobody cares about the Steelers here. We're Cowboy fans.

Okay so if that's true then why are fans on this board so quick to go "if only we had a real coach like the patriots, Seahawks, packers, Steelers blah blah belicheck woudknt have Did this or that blah blah" if we're cowboys fans why are we always comparing ourselves to other teams. Can't have it both ways

The steelers get a pass because they've won 2 Super Bowls in the last 11 years and have been to 3.

That's a weak b.s. excuse which I said somebody would try to use. Who cares, the point is that you all try to act like only jerry is getting these drugged up players when apparently this is a league wide issue including one of your gold standard teams.

Me personally I don't care who gets drugged up players etc. However, we get drugged up players and still haven't been to a conference title game since 1995. That I put on Jerry.

Well they kind of won one and the other one was given to them.

I actually agree with this and when people say the steelers have more rings than the Cowboys my rebuttal is always "the one where the refs assisted Pittsburgh doesn't count."

So if we had gone to the conference title 2 years ago it would be okay?

I really thought the culture was changing here but its apparent that it couldn't be further from the truth

The culture changed fortunately.

Unfortunately, there's Jerry. I don't think the coaches, players, or even Jerry's family take him and his wayward miscreants all that seriously.

There must be a whole lot of eye-rolling and silence when Jerry walks in to the locker room.

Maybe because those teams actually win in the playoffs. We're comparing their playoff success with ours. Don't care much about their troubles. We have troubles and still only 2 playoff wins in 20 years.

On the contrary, I think Jerry is admired and respected by most of the people around him because of his benevolence. Unfortunately, there will alway exist those opportunistic weasels who will take advantage of him.

Me personally, I believe Jerry should start a halfway house/homeless shelter/rehab center for troubled but deserving players. Once they are well, he can put them on the playing field.

Right. The suspensions would be much easier to take if at least the team was winning consistently.

But because they don't, the suspensions just increase the frustrations of an already frustrated group of fans.

But rejoice! The team is worth $4 Billion!

I've been a fan of this team since the days of Landry, Lilly, and Meredith.

However, to have 3 players that been suspended for violating the league's substance abuse policy is embarrassing.

That's all there is to it.

With all due respect, If the NFL had the same drug testing policies in the 70's and 80's as they do now, the Cowboys would have had a lot more than 3 players suspended at a time than this team has. They weren't known as South America's team or the Cocaine Cowboys for nothing, my friend.

20 years ago and before, none of these players would be suspended for any of this.

Keep that in mind.

In the drug-infested 70s, half the team would have been suspended with these rules and testing.

Yes because when we were winning rings we had guys stabbing teammates with scissors and the like. No one cares when you're winning. But when you lose for 20 years straight there's gonna be criticism. And in the case of Jerry, it's beyond justified.

Maybe the league actually did the Cowboys a favor with that $250,000 fine. (The FO has decided to quit babying the suspension darlings.) At least, that's what they're claiming, now that the damage has been done. Let's see if they follow up with some action in the future, instead of words.
