A couple of interesting, and perhaps related, tidbits from this weekend. Yesterday a story came out about the NFL denying they would look to settle Zeke's case. Perhaps a trial balloon for an eventually settlement. Also a headline from that newspaper that shall not be named where Adam Schefter thinks Zeke plays this year.

I just wonder how much all of this nonsense is impacting Zeke's psyche...of course he knows of all of it, so is it impacting his ability to stay focused?

It has got to have some effect. Especially on a young player. An old vet could probably handle it much better.

Problem for Zeke is that any kind of settlement means he has to admit to being a woman beater. that is the bottom line.

It is total BS of course

"Well OK I admit there was some abuse; just not six games worth"

Zeke's under no obligation to settle, but if the NFL is thinking settlement, it's gives you a clue that they don't feel they have a strong case. Mazzant's injunction decision was damaging enough, they don't want further damage if this goes back to his court for a full trial.
