It's time for Jerry Jones to have a private meeting with 31 other owners tp form a new league.

If all 32 owners wanted to get rid of Goodell and his staff, they could do it today. Goodell works for them, not the other way around.

I wish that Aria, the Giant's Troll, was still around.

Mara: "So, you got your feety pajamas on? you know, the ones with the NYG logo on it?"
Goodell: "Yup, you got your feety pajamas on with my face all over it?"
Mara: "Yup"
Goodell: "I will be over with the cookies a little later, as soon as we go past the 4p deadline that we have always used"
(they both snicker like beevis and butthead)

NFL distances itself from 4:00 p.m. ET suspension deadline

For years, the NFL has observed a weekly deadline when it comes to the implementation of suspensions. If the suspension isn’t finalized by 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, the suspension gets delayed until the next week.

The dynamic first became widely known in the latter days of StarCaps, when it was clear that long-pending suspensions would be served and a weekly trigger of 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday would determine whether that week would be the week.

The NFL is now distancing itself from this past practice in the Ezekiel Elliott case, telling league employee Tom Pelissero that there is no such rule. But Pelissero acknowledges that the Cowboys believe the deadline applies. (Per a league source, so does Elliott’s camp.)

As one source explained it to PF, the practice arose from concerns of fairness and competitive balance. Teams need to know who they will or won’t be putting on the field, and their opponents need to know who they will or won’t be facing.

It’s unclear why the NFL is suddenly abandoning this practice. Maybe the person most keenly aware of it wasn’t invited to the meeting.
The PR department for the NFL needs to be fired. The more this issue persist, the more the NFL looks like a mean kid with a magnifying glass and the players are their own personal ant pile.

Where's the football version of Julian Assange when you need him?! I'm sure there's some incriminating emails out there.

Why in the hell are they waiting until the very last minute to announce the decision on the appeal? They've known for some time what they're going to do. It's either overturned or they go to court. It's not like delaying all day will change anything.

It will change how the judge acts in the hearing today. If there is no decision no need for the TRO legally his hands would be tied

Again, it's not going to change anything. The Judge will just move the hearing to the next day, and so on. They're just delaying the inevitable.

Supposedly, his decision is going to be about a 3,000-page report. Why, I don't know.

They really have no shame in the league office.

Very convenient for them that Henderson would take his time, coupled with their motion to file a dismissal of Zeke's TRO.

Someone realllllyyyyyyy doesn't want to see Zeke suit up against the Giants Sunday night.

The timing of this whole thing, from the initital suspension to the appeals hearing to the decision, has been with Sept. 10th in mind the entire time.
