Again, it's not going to change anything. The Judge will just move the hearing to the next day, and so on. They're just delaying the inevitable.
I wonder if they are delaying in an attempt to make it to where Zeke cannot play against the Giants. We will know it for certain if this stretches into late Friday.

NFL distances itself from 4:00 p.m. ET suspension deadline

For years, the NFL has observed a weekly deadline when it comes to the implementation of suspensions. If the suspension isn’t finalized by 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, the suspension gets delayed until the next week.

The dynamic first became widely known in the latter days of StarCaps, when it was clear that long-pending suspensions would be served and a weekly trigger of 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday would determine whether that week would be the week.

The NFL is now distancing itself from this past practice in the Ezekiel Elliott case, telling league employee Tom Pelissero that there is no such rule. But Pelissero acknowledges that the Cowboys believe the deadline applies. (Per a league source, so does Elliott’s camp.)

As one source explained it to PF, the practice arose from concerns of fairness and competitive balance. Teams need to know who they will or won’t be putting on the field, and their opponents need to know who they will or won’t be facing.

It’s unclear why the NFL is suddenly abandoning this practice. Maybe the person most keenly aware of it wasn’t invited to the meeting.
They haven't been anything close to fair up to this point. They didn't do any of this with fairness in mind. I am certain they are examining every option to force the forgone conclusion.

Jerry's comment to Mara and Goodell....I'd pay to see that reaction...

Let me guess, HH can't rule until league gets motion to dismiss approved, then they file in NY

LOL
I think that's the plan. But that couldn't be since HH is independent...right??? Make no mistake, the NFL appeals process is a complete sham. Henderson is simply doing Goodell's bidding. Zeke never really had a snowball's chance in hell of receiving a fair appeal.

Apparently the "unwritten rule" that the NFL has gone by saying that players that aren't ruled ineligible to play by 4:00 EST on Tuesday before the game can play doesn't apply to Dallas Cowboys. This again just shows how they have stacked the deck and have no shame.

For the 1st time in my life I'm "meh" about the NFL's opening weekend. This whole fiasco has made me question rather I even want to watch their product. I love the Cowboys and will watch them but there used to be an excitement to this weekend which just isn't there anymore.

Let's not forget boxing got taken down for corruption... The NFL is rapidly approaching that corruption level, and it will only survive because of the players and owners. The NFL needs a fresh face, and goodell ain't getting that extension. He needs. 2x4 to the face

I'm almost waiting for Zeke to yell out "enough already!" and just take the six game ban and move on.

Maybe that's Goodell's plan......
