The New York Jets are quietly showing interest in trouble-prone former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Pacman Jones and are biding their time before potentially acquiring him, according to Calvin Watkins of AOL Sports Fanhouse.

Per the report, Jones’ agent, Worrick Robinson, said that he is working on getting Jones a new NFL gig by training camp. However, Robinson declined to say which teams are interested in the former West Virginia star.

One door that appears to be definitely slammed shut on Jones: the Dallas Cowboys.

Robinson issued a one-word reply when asked if Dallas might want to give Jones another chance. The answer: No.

And that might be the stance for several NFL teams given Jones’ propensity for off-field drama. That said, talent tends to trump character concerns in several cases and Jones definitely has a lot of ability.

worst part of having him here is no matter where he goes ,what he does ,or who he plays for he will always be the "troubled former Cowboy"............:bang2:

Well, the guy is only 25 and can play some so i guess it doesn't surprise me. These NFL people have proven over and over they will keep handing these guys money and chances even when they've shown they can't be trusted.

At the end of the day, he's still a pretty good football talent. He was one of the best corners in 06. I wish he kept his head on straight, because when he gets back in the groove, he's an elite corner. Still only 26 too.

Jerry Jones (hopefully) used to be the guiltiest person of that. After Alonzo Spellman worked out so well his first year he was hooked. And by the way, I don't understand what happened to him. He plays for us that first year and towards the end of the season he was literally a top 3 defensive tackle. The next year he's just average and soon cut. After him, a lot of other players followed who just didn't work out - Tank, Pacman, TO, Derek Ross, Antonio Bryant, Quincy Carter.

Some of these owners are just desperate and/or have that win at all costs mentality. I hope Jones has risen above that. No one likes problem players.

i see this from a positive perspective: it's like that because we are the most important team in the NFL. If it weren't so nobody would give a damn where he played before or maybe judged it right (that he played only half a season for us and so is a more "forme troubled titan than a cowboy").

So even if those comments are a bit annoying, they feel very good to me in the end. And if i had the choice i would not have it the other way around.

He was born September 30, 1983, so by my count that's 25 as of right now.

I knew that. I guess it just got the better of him. He was a physical freak. I hear people at the Bears camp thought he was on steriods because he used to eat McDonald's all the time. I hear he got into MMA fighting. He probably could be a heavyweight contender if he focused.

I was sitting here trying to think of a play Pac made for us..some great play that would be remembered. Couldn't.

His time here was embarrassing for the team and Jerry in particular. I so hope that he never, ever wears another Cowboys jersey unless it's one he purchased at Academy.

Make it rain in New York City! They have some of the best strip clubs there..although they are adding a 10$ tax. That's a deal breaker for Pacman.

Pacman in New York City sounds like a wonderful idea.

Honestly, you can look at it in different ways. You get a lot less leniancy here if you're a football player than in Texas (because everyone here is a ****ing celebrity).

But then again, the media coverage might actually be lower than in Dallas because the Jets are still the 6th most popular team in this area after the Yankees, Giants, Knicks, Rangers, and Mets.

I live in NYC now and I've been in Dallas several times.

Nightlife in NYC>Dallas
Strip clubs in Dallas>NYC strip clubs

No one really goes to NYC strip clubs, they're all way too seedy. Though that might work for Pacman
