Perhaps Micah should consider that the way the Cowboys use him has probably shortened his career by 3 seasons.
Micah Parsons is a linebacker. He's not built like any normal linebacker. He has elite mobility, speed and instincts for the ball. He is certainly not built like a DE.
Micah's only negative was a lack of seasoning as a LB. His rookie year may have been less productive, but the experience would have elevated him for the rest of his career.
Micah could still blitz as a LB and he wouldn't have to face double teams against players 40 pounds heavier. It is a statistical fact that he wears down after 10-12 games each season. Perhaps, due to his time out, he will keep his high productivity until the end this season.
As a LB, Micah would have been free to roam. Offensive coordinators would find it more difficult to gameplan him. Parson has the speed to cover TE's and RB's.
Micah should have been groomed as the next Lawrence Taylor. Instead, they mismatch him by trying to make him the next Charles Haley.
D-linemen seem to have shorter careers, and his agent may want to impress that upon Micah.
