Wade is calling Garrett out, plain and simple, especially considering he also plugged his defense in those comments. It also shows how powerless Wade is in regards to the offense. We heard this all last year, but Wade was ignored as well. It is about time Jerry steps up and gives Wade the reigns to keep Garrett in check.

It's like a broken record at Valley Ranch.

The counterpoint to this is, being pass happy didn't prevent Patroits from winning 3 SBs and getting 4 of them. Last one they lost because they couldn't run and let Giants tee off on Brady.

But another counterpoint is, Garrett/cowboys ran heavily against Giants in playoffs but still lost, because of breakdowns in ST and defense at key moments. I would like Garrett to do some power run too, but sometimes you have to go with what the defense is giving. But running just 11 times is just not acceptable though.

Pats did it because they were very disappointed in Maroney and all in all simply weren't a good running team. They also had Randy Moss.

Garrett has done this one too many times to be excused this time. Time to take the keys to the car away from him.

Good point. Wade knows that the defense has played well and he doesn't want them to take on added pressure with the offense not doing anything and have quick 3 and outs. I am glad Wade said something and hopefully there is some dialogue between Wade and Garrett this week about it.

Hello, Wade. You are wearing the headset, and you are the head coach.

Do something. Don't just stand there.

I'll tell you this, too. If Felix Jones' season continues down this path, you are going to get fired.

The ironic thing about the whole situation is that Dom Capers is the one, per some people on this forum, that Garrett supposedly wanted to bring in as a defensive consultant and here is Dom Capers calling out Garrett, saying he was just one-dimensional.

No, the Patriots did not win by being a pass heavy team.

It's JG's weakness.

I have no doubt they have a game plan going into it to run more, to have a balanced attack.

But the old QB in him starts getting pass happy at any sign of trouble, any slowness in the run game...it is a crutch if you will IMO for JG.

I think he also thinks one big pass play will turn things around, get the O fired up or something.

Whatever it is, it has happened multiple times over the last couple of years. Again, I think he falls into a trap or gets scared (for the lack of a better term) and just falls back on his tendencies to get pass happy.

Even when the run is not working, they still need to be disciplined to keep attempting to run the ball some. Now this is not talking about time running down and we are down by multiple scores. But that was just an example of the GB game where we still had time, we were not down by much and still the run is pretty much abandoned. Again even if it is not working, you still need to keep the D guessing.

I think many have said it before, I think the current Dolphins coach provided and I think this is what they wanted Reeves to provide....a guy in the ear of JG to reign him in when he started getting too pass happy and insist on the running game some more.

Now...he is not Andy Reid pass happy, but I wonder if he would become similar to that if he became HC.

I think you are 100% correct. I also think there is no one on that sideline who has the guts to real JG in. That is a huge problem in my book.

All I can remember is that our running backs were dodging Green Bay defenders several yards BEHIND the line of scrimmage on almost every run play. The OL play in passing and running situations was freaking abysmal, but at least when passing the team had a chance at moving the ball...

You may be right, but he can still say it.

"Hey, don't give up on the run, yet". At least plant the seed in his mind and remind him during the game.

Plus, for crying out loud, yell at the idiot officials after that Mike Jenkins penalty, on Scandrick's huge play.

Garrett has done well this year. He's done some really good things. I've seen him run some safe screens and runs and quick throws when backed up against a good defense. I think he finally got the message after the Denver game.

Adams just let Woodson free down there when he should have picked him up, instead of blocking the guy Kosier had. I don't blame Garrett for that one. That guy should have been picked up, easily.
