That's not really true either. An "average" guy that weighs 250 pounds maybe. Not an average guy that weighs 170 or 180.

I go to a gym 6 times a week. I regulary see guys who are 170 or 180 lbs., benching 225. One rep, sometimes more.. But its happens.

Usually guys that workout out on a regular, but its very possible

I know alot of 180ish lbs guys that put up 225 at least 10-15 times, including myself (I fluctuate from 165 to 188). 52 times is very impressive, but again, the guy is what 300lbs? I want to see how many times he can put up 405. To me, anything over 30 reps of 225 for a guy that is over 250lbs is good.

I've tried to do 135 40 times and my arm just gets tired.

This being said, I still don't have the talent to play in the NFL :)

Exactly. Put one 45lb plate on each side(135lbs), and thats hard to do 30, 40, or even 50 times.

I weigh 230 lbs. myself. I workout alot, but am terrible at the bench press. I bench 225 10-12 times. And thats a really good day. I've seen much smaller guys than myself put it up 15-20 times.

He wasn't even extending his arms on most of those... Compare the speeded up ones to the end ones where he's actually locking out. I doubt those even would've counted at the combine.

I'd disqualify him based on the choice of that awful white spandex outfit alone.

yep on jbscouting, they said, he only qualified for 45, didnt lock his arms out on others

i saw it somewhere, but i cant find it right now, but did say he didnt lock out his arms but on 45 he did

COLORADO MINES

Colorado Mines DE Marc Schiechl measured in at 6024, 251 pounds, and ran a 4.65 40-yard dash. He had a 1.66 10-yard, 35-inch vertical, 10’5 broad jump, 4.52 short shuttle, 7.53 3-cone, and did 38 bench reps. He had 9 inch hands, 33 ¼ arms, and 76 wingspan. This workout is much better than expected and should get him in a camp.

Colorado Mines DT Blake Sumner measured in at 6013, 335 pounds, and ran a 5.46 40-yard dash. He had a 1.85 10-yard, 32-inch vertical, 9’5 broad jump, 4.94 short shuttle, 8.01 3-cone, and had 49 bench reps. He had 9 5/8 hands, 35 5/8 arms, and 75 ¾ wingspan. He doesn’t move well in short areas so he would have to be a 3-4 nose guard. On a side note his agent is Kevin Poston.
