News: PFT: Report: Cowboys getting calls about Darren McFadden

Well why didn't you just say the only positive thing you can say about Darius Jackson is that he isn't injured.
You would have saved a lot of time and back and forth if you could better organize your thoughts instead of making yourself look foolish trying to fight to get someone to answer a rhetorical question not even asked of them.

You argument for keeping Darius Jackson instead of McFadden would be much stronger if you actually sold the positives of Jackson and not just wasted time discrediting McFadden.
You think McFadden is a bum who should be cut...I get it....The problem is you don't have an attractive alternative who you can say anything good about other that he isn't currently injured.
Not a strong argument.
Maybe if you would have been following I have shown reasons I like Jackson and reasons I dislike Mcfadden. That's what happens when you jump in the middle of conversations without knowing all the facts

At least you are honest about it.
Nothing like someone pretending to love Darius Jackson when its really just poorly disguised McFadden hate.
No. I like Jackson too. 6ft, 220 lbs, 4.35 40. More importantly he is young and can break arm tackles.

I don't care much about a 40 yard time. Emmitt Smith was a 4.6 40 guy.

Not too excited about running a 4.35 40 when his average run only went for 3.5 yards.

Dmac is not a "raw" RB.His experience is a valuable asset to this team.

While Jackson could be a good back someday,he isn't as valuable as McFadden right now to our offense.

Don't get me wrong,I like D.Jackson.He is just the odd man out in a very stacked RB stable.

I think its an awesome thing to have so many great backs this year, cause we're going to need'em.

The thing is Mcfadden is injuried so we couldn't trade him. Can't trade until he is healthy and who knows when that will be. How many months now he has been out for a broken elbow? Seems something else is there or the injury is much worst then we know. That's my main reason from moving on from him and since Jackson is healthy and can contribute I would go with him as the 3rd back
McFadden had surgery June 14th...everyone said he would be back for the TC...not.......Presseason....not .......Week 1....not

The answer is easy---- 22 yr old healthy RB for 4yrs/2m >>>>>>> 29 yr old broken RB 1yr/2.1m

Not sure why some can not see it. I bet anything if it was D Law, Wilcox, Hitchens whoever and missed training camp and preseason they would be ready to throw them in the dumpster.

I have heard I based my thoughts on my fandom or because I like a player when the total was opposite. Best thing for the team is Jackson over McFadden. If anything the Mcfadden lovers are basing their thoughts on likeness of a player.....how much they like or dislike. Those same ones were in the game thread just wanting to say something bad about Jackson, they wanted him to fail. That's why you heard nothing when he scored a TD....cause they can't use it. Same thing when he had 6 yards a carry against Seattle....nothing haha

Lol. Comparing a once in a lifetime running back with one of the greatest if not the greatest offensive line of all time against a guy who ran behind a bunch of über drivers in the 3rd and 4th quarters of a couple preseason games. Man you either got nerve or stupidity....

Not being able to comprehend and understand the simple context the post was written with...man you either have nerve or stupidity... I think I have the answer.
3.5 YPC over 40 carries x his 40 yard combine time (4.35) still = 3.5 ypc.

During the telecast last night they said McFadden will likely end up on NFI to start the season which means he'll miss the first 6 games. If so I can't see how he makes the team unless we keep 4 backs including Jackson. No way would I keep McFadden over Jackson if he's going to miss the first 6 games. With all that inactivity he'll end up with a hamstring problem or something else as soon as he returns. If he's not ready to play opening day it's time to move on.

No one is going to trade for a 29 year old back who's injured and will likely miss part of the season.

He wants off the NFI list badly.....he says he is healthy......he might have to file a grievance...... he had surgery for a broken elbow June 14th...... and we think Romo will be back with a broken back in 4 weeks

Asset to the team, how. He may see the field for maybe 5 snaps. Zeke is the bellcow and Morris is the closer and breather guy. Only way DMC sees significant time is if Zeke or Morris gets hurt, even then he would not be the starter it would be Morris. He does not play ST so a handful of plays. Take my chances with DJ, just fast and doesn't fall down when a guy breathes on him.

DMC got 4.5 running behind starters last year DJ is seeing 3.5 with mostly scrubs blocking for him. I would bet money DMC behind the same line as DJ might be lucky to see 3.0 ypc

McFadden had games last year behind starting OL with a 1.7 yard per carry not only that McFadden also had 8 games with 3 yards or less......again with the starting OL.

Jackson had 1 run with starting OL in preseason against Miami.....went 20 yards. Doesn't show in box score due to holding call but would put him at almost 4 yards a carry

I said his experience could be an asset to the team.

What I meant by that is ,more of an asset than D.Jackson.:)

Jackson with so called scrubs blocking for him, also was going up against scrubs on defense. Yet, his so called elite speed, can't get by anyone.
