Why should teams put guidance in their life they are grown men. Maybe it is time for the NFL to stop baby sitting

Not saying they shouldn't be held accountable, because they should and will. They're gonna drop a bunch of picks and lose out on a bunch of $. But to completely discount someone because they smoked weed when they were 21 or 22 is extremely harsh. If either 1 was still sitting there in the 4th round and we passed on them it would be a bad move in my opinion.

Maybe harsh is the only way to get through to people instead of this slobbering over them. Evidently they are not bright enough to figure out that during one of the biggest interviewing process they will ever have that getting high is not a good idea

I expected Houston, he's got a long history and I believe he might enter with two strikes. If that's true, he's going to fall way down, but Ballard? I did not expect that. That's really unfortunate. That kid should have been a first round pick. I was wondering why there was not a lot of talk about him. Now we know.

What is it about marijuana that turns people into idiots? I mean seriously, nothing could be so good that you are willing to sacrifice this much to do it. Is it peer pressure? Maybe they've already killed so many brain cells that they are just too stupid to realize the consequences of the stupidity. It is baffling.

Broad generalization. Plenty of people smoke and get good grades, are productive at work, and aren't idiots.

I doubt it is peer pressure, maybe when he was 14. Chances are he just likes doing it?

It sucks that he got caught, but lets not pretend that athletes in every sport aren't smoking. They just don't get caught.
