Overshown now Diggs. 2025 season already has dark clouds gathering.
Yep. But we knew this team was doomed for years with the Prescott deal. He played poorly this year and there is no getting out of that contract anytime soon. And Jerry will never admit a mistake and try to get rid of him, similar to how the eagles did with Wentz.

Next year this team will be bad again. They are not going to sign any free agents as they are about to make Parsons the highest paid defender ever. I'm sure they will overpay bland as well.

This team is doomed for at least another 2 or 3 years.

Why play cornerback then? You can't always jump every pass, and avoid injury, you have to make tackles, not run by the side of a blocker and have him push you around lol
Agree with you.
I’d switch him to receiver and give him a handful of defensive snaps per game.
He goes out of his way to avoid contact.

Maybe part of it is we need to come face to face with the fact DQs pressure oriented defense is a big reason our dbs shinned. The run defense though...
Absolutely. DBs are highly dependent on having a strong pass rush.

it's so unreal, was he like this when he was a few years into the league? I swear it was more so him getting his confidence, I think he made tackles back then

We need to triple dip at corner in the first 2 days of the draft.
First things first: fix the D then fix the O
that is a two year deal

and we need the DL a lot better before worrying about the DBs

and this cannot be done just by the draft or trading day three picks
we HAVE to spend big in FA.

But we won't

Some of you would have been crying to cut Deion Sanders in his prime.

He's gone. Since his 2025 season is in jeopardy, no reason to keep him on the roster.

Yeah...getting a bone graft is some serious stuff. I don't see him back anytime next season. I hope I'm wrong, but not only will he have a longer recovery, who's to say if he will ever be the same again. Man, makes me sick to see these serious injuries to our players. What a crap year this has been for the Cowboys!! smh :(:(

What a shame, he was a really good cover corner before the injuries kicked in. Sadly the Cowboys need to cut ties with him.

His salary for next season is already fully guaranteed because of the injury. There's no reason to cut him. Now, in 2026, there will be every reason to restructure/renegotiate. His 2026 base is $14.5 million and it is not guaranteed. Coming off injury, they should be able to heavily reduce that and stretch it out with a couple of void years. They could do that and still save money cutting him in 2027, when he's due $24 million but his dead cap hit is currently $4 million.

Oh wow. Another cowboys player who suffers an injury, is rushed back and then is never the same.

Diggs
Overshown
Gallup
Steele
Dez

Maybe we should be questioning the training staff more.

All we hear in the media is about how awesome Britt brown is. But anybody who tears an ACL on this team or has some major injury and it’s the kiss of death. Career over.

Why do I get the feeling he’ll never be the same? (As he was pre injury 1)
Doggy, probably because we both read that Diggs didn't take is PT serious. He's set for life after Jerry gave him that huge contract. I truly believe that some the players who play for the money and not for the love of the game, they are the ones that become slackers after they get paid. Diggs seems like he's one of them. I had major surgery on my left Achilles, and I hated going to PT. After 3 years it's still not right. I'm sure if I had taken seriously, it would be 100 percent right now.
