Well that's interesting. Butler, Dez, and now maybe Beasley all felt the same way a lot of fans do about the offense/playcalling. Wonder what TWill would say if he was being truthful.
:lmao: probably " I luv my job, best one I ever had"
*I like #83 & just don't 'get' the majority of expressed disdain for him on this forum, although some anal retentive type of forum fellow member will inform me as to the chain of events that immediately crashed&burned upon that one dropped pass of the 9th game of the season with 3:42 minutes left in the 3 quarter 4 years ago that shattered their hopes for evermore of the team hoisting up another Lombardi Trophy while he's still on the rostero_O

i'm pretty sure i got past angry and now just am apathetic. when they change what makes me apathetic, maybe i'll care more again.

Sadly, I think that's even worse than being angry.

I miss seeing you around as much and I hope that this team gives you enough to care about soon.

No, actually they couldn't. They've done him zero favors releasing him at this point. None. The peak of free agency is over, teams are focused on the draft. And now a new crop of player are about to enter the league. They screwed him.

They released him because they'd be on the hook if he got hurt during this week's practice activities and they'd be stuck. That's the only reason they didn't string him along longer.
It's certainly a consideration. One I talked about weeks ago when I said he'd be cut.

But they could have risked it. Kept things limited.

Fans complain that we didn't get anything for him. Fans complain that we didn't cut him earlier. Fans complain.

And some fans look for excuses.

Even when they don't exist.

Obviously, no NFL team will even offer a 7th round pick for a player in decline and the team
is telegraphing they are going to get rid of him. Dez had become a cancer for the coaches
and you know how that always ends.

The guy was given a contract. Isn't it the honor, loyalty, and sacrifice principle that means the front office should uphold that contract?
They did. He got paid all the money they agreed to pay him. The team option part was dependent on Dez's play/production. Dez failed to honor the contract, not the team.

........blame all around, Dez, Dak and coaches

Maybe the Coaches Lack of "imagination" stems from Dak virtually unwilling to throw a intermediate ball between the hash marks into a developing NFL window (ie throw a receiver open)..........knowing that really places a ceiling on a coaches "imagination"................it also, once a def realizes allows LB'rs to stay shallow and limit Beasley, FS/SS to creep up to support the run D even more, They didnt play Butler (speed) any significant snaps for quite a few games

it collapses a offense, knowing the LBrs and S are shallow, it lets a D-Line just T-off on the snap making the OLine look very ave at best............

Dak needs to throw all the balls
Dak made those crossing route throws. Problem is, Dez was running a slant.

Talk of a potential pay cut for Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant began last season. He responded to the possibility bluntly: He didn't want one. The reality all along was that he'd be gettin...

Heck yes they were. Got a guy you gave big money to,who didn’t produce at the same level you bargained on,and his attitude is “No compromise”? That’s an easy call for a FO. Not one they want to,nor are happy about making, but one they are forced to make. Dez threw a grenade on his head. Seriously...from the day he signed with Jay -Z it’s been nothing but a bargain with the devil for his career. Yeah,he sure got his money...but everything else went down the crapper like a light switch for him in Dallas. The dude went from a nightmare threat to defend,to just trying to stay on the field and pick up 60yds a game. When he’s older...he’ll look back on this and wish he had done things different, because those years were his prime best, and his worst showings. Which all makes me sick to my stomach, because I loved having him doing X’s at our opponents around the country. “Stick ittttttttt”

The issue was Dak's inability to get him the ball. Dez Bryant demands double teams. Dez Bryant consistently gets open and beats double teams.
