The 4:30 p.m. ET game averaged 35.6 million on Fox. Last year, Packers-Cowboys in the same window drew 40.2 million. (Yes, the Cowboys still draw.)
...
Also, this year’s Wild Card rounds didn’t include two of the biggest draws: the Cowboys and the Chiefs.

Yea but they say the Cowboys are not America s Team , Hmm!

Nah, they like watching Dallas lose. I would bet that is the real draw.
The Cowboys have the Yankees and Muhammad Ali effect. A lot of fans but the most views to watch them lose. Duke basketball has entered this realm as well.

This is why Jerry just wants us to get in every year

Cant risk these down seasons - too much money lost

Well at least we know after next weekend they won't.

That first year would be a ratings bonanza ... unless Deion quickly shows he can't coach on this level, and then everyone might still tune in just to see the show. It's a wonder the league doesn't mandate that Jerry hire him. "He's considering who? Kellen Moore. Quick let's pass the Primetime Rule."

Dieon is the perfect coach for Dallas. He's going to have a DC and an OC to get the X and O's right. Dieon's job will be to hold everyone accountable and motivate players to get the best out of them. like only someone of his stature can do. We haven't had that since Parcels. A true Alpha on the sideline.

Not sure he's the perfect coach for Dallas. But I'd be OK because we'd at least be trying something different. I don't think Prime would have near the clout that Parcells had because he'd be a first-time NFL coach with no skins on the wall as a coach. As far as the sideline goes, I don't think that would be an issue, but I don't know how much sway he'd hold over front office decisions.
