Initially saw the hit and was excited that we took him down...Realizing the possible extent of his injury it was more of worry for him...This a game where grown men get to entertain by playing a boys sport, family and well being comes before this rivalry....I played sports with McCordsville Cowboy...as much as I hate his or this forums team...he gets hurt catchin a ball over the middle I dont start pointing and laughin', comparing him to irvin and telling him thats why he could never catch a drag infront of dawkins. It's just a game....now on the other hand he wont come waltzing into my house wearin any cowboys jerseys, I'll set up a portable 12 inch tv next to the kiddie pool outside.....As much as i hate Irvin for being a cowboy and a hurricane I wouldn't wish injury or possible paralisis on anyone...And he still makes me laugh on game day....I wasn't cheering the injury if that is what you were gettin' at.

How I was dragged in this conversation is a good question..

And yes BBgun I could care less about LJ smith and his Hernia and hope he recovers very slowly. Injury is apart of the game and will always be. I have had every type of injury imaginable and I still attempted to play knowing I could hurt myself.

LJ just bought himself sometime with a doctor , maybe some warm ultrasound lotion, and some nice pills.

So for a member of the Eagles to hurt himself, it happens.. so what. It could happen to anyone on any team, including my Boys.

And in reference to "getting hurt crossing the middle".. You must be talking about your Alligator Arms in practice when you saw big perm about to lay wood.

They are already in panic mode over there. Shawn Andrews has gone to see an ankle specialists and is in a walking boot, and Brian Dawkins has missed like 7 consecutive practices with an achilles problems. Dawkins is a major concern. I know things are serious when Howard Eskin the ultimate eagles homer say's he's now concerned.

Yes, there really are a few injuries that could be considered serious. I don't know that losing L.J. Smith is that big a deal, but the Shawn Andrews injury would seriously concern me if I was an Eagles' fan. Lito Sheppard has also been hobbled, and Tony Hunt has a severely sprained ankle (and anyone who has had one of those before knows how long it can put you out).

Let's also not forget that their QB is coming off a serious knee injury. Everyone seems to just assume he'll be right back to where he was before the injury (which, by the way, remembering how he played in that Titans game before he went down, is just fine by me!)

When ever ithink of injuries i think of you(hamstring/quad/knee/shoulder/left boob from thinking you could bench 225 39 times) The list goes on for days... I never had fear of "Big Perm" when i was coming over the middle....that why i do my tricep pushdowns...stiff arm central......You had one attempt to get me at practice and chid threw the ball 6 feet over my head...my 41 inch vertical was no help
