Phil Simms is a disgrace

He does not like Tony Romo or the Cowboys for that matter - he had his silver & black underwear on today; it was disgusting.

He went on an on about Cable , about the Raiders core WR's and how they have to be happy with them he told us 4 times how Gradkowski throws the wrong shoulder fade "wonderfully"

I didn't hear ONE word of praise for Dallas out his mouth, not one , he mentioned Witten and called him a "very good " pass catching TE.

And Jim Nantz is a brutal sports announcer , a gold course snob who wouldn't give you the time of day - a guy whose sole purpose in life it to pump up Tiger Woods and sell the NCAA tournament.

I actually dont dislike Simms. He is pretty good.

But there was something else he said. On a pass that was almost picked off, he said, "that was a perfectly thrown pass".... I laughed and said what???

Was that one the where Crayton stopped?

I like him better in the booth than on the field. He constantly pouted and whined his way to the sidelines as a QB.

Simms is bitter that his son grew up a Cowboy fan, even when his Dad played.:D

Nantz did mention Roger Staubach is his favorite player ever.

He's a Cowboys fan, guys.

He's a big backer of Texas teams. He has season tickets to the Texans. Can't take the Texas out of that guy.

I'll take Jim Nantz over Joe Buck any day and twice on Sundays.

Phil Simms gave us props when deserved, he always has. He's even keeled and does a good job analyzing plays on the fly.

Jim Nantz/Phil Simms >>> Joe Buck/Troy Aikman in my book.

That being said, I'll take Kenny Albert/Daryl Johnston and Al Michaels/Cris Collinsworth over both of those teams.

Some people have a heavy persecution complex. Simms isn't perfect, but would rather have Bryant Gumbel doing it? Buck is annoying, but Aikman is a very good analyst. Give it a rest......

I did get a kick out of the body slam pat Watkins put on the kick returner. Phil Simms only comment was "that was close to a penalty".

Penalty? what? being to rough?

Same here. I told my brother-in-law that comment made Simms sound like an idiot. Penalty for what? It was a tremendous tackle. No face mask, no late hit, no nothing but a very good tackle. It was simply a stuipid comment.

Yea, I didnt get that either. What penalty are they going to call there???

That was a good, clean hit.

His son freaking blows.

Thank God Orton was able to play tonight or the G-men would have won.

the wrestling take down, you aren't supposed to give an opponent a back suplex

I agree I can't stand the Buc(k)man...they are terrible...just awful.

You can't "suplex" a guy into the ground, per Aikman. They may be only pertaining to a QB though, not sure.

I'm the Rodney Dangerfield of CZ.:

Aikman best in the business. (my obligitory retort to Zaxor's obligitory Aikman hate post:eek:: )

The CBS announcers will always tilt their compiments to the AFC team in these NFC-AFC matchups on CBS. We should all know that by now.
