Yeah, I have to admit I kinda liked the whole CBS presentation better -- except the halftime show. Listening to that group was fairly irritating.

I agree. Actually, both groups at FOX and CBS are pretty brutal to listen to. Jimmy Johnson is probably the only guy during halftime that has anything worthy of listening to. The other guys are too busy laughing and making jokes while trying to talk over each other to even bother taking serious.

But there is one thing I took from the CBS pregame and halftime crew. It came straight from the horses mouth (literally). The guys were making their pre-game picks (all of them picked Dallas) and their was Shannon Sharpe, acting the fool as usual, sitting there with what looked to be a fake wrestling or boxing championship belt. He said the Cowboys would win, but the game would be a lot closer than most of you think. He figured another struggle for the Cowboys.

He does not like Tony Romo or the Cowboys for that matter - he had his silver & black underwear on today; it was disgusting.

He went on an on about Cable , about the Raiders core WR's and how they have to be happy with them he told us 4 times how Gradkowski throws the wrong shoulder fade "wonderfully"

I didn't hear ONE word of praise for Dallas out his mouth, not one , he mentioned Witten and called him a "very good " pass catching TE.

And Jim Nantz is a brutal sports announcer , a gold course snob who wouldn't give you the time of day - a guy whose sole purpose in life it to pump up Tiger Woods and sell the NCAA tournament.

I'm not sure that's the case man...he probably had to say something nice about the Raiders...they were complimenting Bruce Gradkowski at the beginning of the game and showed one long pass the previous week, lol...I think they're just trying to be fair in the broadcast booth and not just say "The Raiders are terrible" for 3-1/2 hours.

It is amazing to me how guys like Simms, Theesmann, etc. are so biased for their former teams and against their rivals (Cowboys) yet when Aikman is objective and unbiased he is put down as being anti-Cowboys. Troy has let slip an "us" or "we" in talking about the Boys but overall he is doing his job in being as objective and unbiased as possible.

Unabashed homers like Johnny Most, Myron Cope, and Sonny Jurgensen make/made (Most & Cope are gone now) me sick. I grew up listening to 3 of the best announcers ever: Chick Hearn, Vin Scully, & Rick Enberg (have to spell it that way).

Pat Summerall was another outstanding announcer (he was at the game yesterday BTW) and called it like he saw it regardless of who was playing. Even though he played for the Cards & Giants he liked the Cowboys.

I think Aikman can be like that too. Unlike many her, I love it when he does a game because I know I will hear the game called like it is and not by some homer or hater.
