actually in 1999 they were 7-4 and won 4 of their last 5 to make the Playoffs and lost 22-16 to a tough 13-3 Tenn team, who by the way went to the bowl that season and almost won....I don't call that choking I call the almost upsetting a great team at the time....

WP's departure had nothing to do with the record, it was because WP refused to fire one of his coaches. But I'm pretty sure you didn't know that, just assume WP was fired due to his win/loss record.

Because coaches get fired in this business, go ask Belichik why he got fired from Cleve. that team played bad and he got fired.... Now all of a Sudden the same Belichik who was know as a denfensive genious is now considered one of the greatest coaches ever.....

Also Btw the next season they went 8-8, I guess after a big letdown from the lost to Tenn the team came back next year down and could never recover

Trade Phillips and Stewart to Miami for a 6 pack of plain label beer. What have they brought to this defense. The so called defense guru's, The cowboys secondary plain and simply sucks, D-line NO pressure or sacks...questionalbe game descions.. I smell a december melt down....

The Bills were leading that game late in the 4th quarter, & lost it on a fluke kickoff return that was VERY close to a forward lateral. If that's choaking, I'll take that team any day. Plus, that was a very good Titans team that took a record breaking Rams team to the 2 yard line at the gun.

Remember the timeout he called in the third quarter on 4th-and-1, and then decided to punt? That was an absolutely terrible call. You either punt or you go for it, but if you're going to punt you don't waste a timeout to decide on it, you just punt it.

Bonehead coaching moves like that get glossed over when you have such a talented team, but in a close game with say, the team's we had a few years ago, that could lose a game for you.

I could leave it at that, but we already have 41 sacks this year, we had 34 all of last year... 19 interceptions this year, 18 last year. Oh yeah, ranked 4th in sacks, 5th in interceptions.

Actually we have 43 sacks this year. Most since 1994, when Dallas had 47 sacks. And Dallas still has one game left to tie or beat that team's mark.
