DeSean Jackson doesn't need any more motivation.
The Eagles wide receiver, however, was provided with some earlier this week when Dallas cornerback
Mike Jenkins made some comments that could have been taken as provocative.
Jenkins was asked how the Cowboys' secondary, which kept Jackson in check in the first meeting, would be able to contain the explosive receiver in Sunday's NFC East showdown.
"The main thing is they try to catch you off-guard," Jenkins said of the Eagles' offense and Jackson's big-play tendencies. "It's yet to happen to us, and we're not planning on it to happen. I guess he runs past a lot of guys, and it's not going to happen this week. It's not going to happen to us, period."
Jackson, who was voted a
Pro Bowl starter on Tuesday, was asked yesterday what he thought of Jenkins' statement.
"If that's how he's feeling then that's how he's feeling," Jackson said. "I don't get caught up in things like that. I'm not going to entertain this. I got a job to go out there and make plays, which I'm going to do. I don't think nobody's going to stop me from doing that."
Jackson had only two catches for 29 yards in the Eagles' 20-16 loss on Nov. 8.
Nothing really to see here at all.
