DeSean Jackson doesn't need any more motivation.
The Eagles wide receiver, however, was provided with some earlier this week when Dallas cornerback Mike Jenkins made some comments that could have been taken as provocative.

Jenkins was asked how the Cowboys' secondary, which kept Jackson in check in the first meeting, would be able to contain the explosive receiver in Sunday's NFC East showdown.
"The main thing is they try to catch you off-guard," Jenkins said of the Eagles' offense and Jackson's big-play tendencies. "It's yet to happen to us, and we're not planning on it to happen. I guess he runs past a lot of guys, and it's not going to happen this week. It's not going to happen to us, period."
Jackson, who was voted a Pro Bowl starter on Tuesday, was asked yesterday what he thought of Jenkins' statement.
"If that's how he's feeling then that's how he's feeling," Jackson said. "I don't get caught up in things like that. I'm not going to entertain this. I got a job to go out there and make plays, which I'm going to do. I don't think nobody's going to stop me from doing that."
Jackson had only two catches for 29 yards in the Eagles' 20-16 loss on Nov. 8.

Nothing really to see here at all.

I saw DeSean Jackson interviewed on the NFL channel yesterday.

They gave him a few quotes from the Cowboys and he responded like a seasoned vet. I really couldn't believe it, but he just said something like he wasn't going to get involved in the talk and was just going to go out and play the game, and looked like he really meant it.

Looks like a smart guy to me, which means he is very dangerous and will be looking to do more than he did in the last game when he was essentially shut down. The Boys would do well to keep a close eye on him tomorrow.

I might add, they should forget about McNabb's hamstring and get ready for him to take off running at any time.

I like that jenkins has a lil swagger.

our guys have been trash talking...???

Thats news to me.

and who cares what jackson says, this is a guy who fumbled at the 1 celebrating and then got fined for celebrating a few weeks ago.

Its kind of funny how Desean Jackson is the anti-philly player, or at least anti what the fans and media up there always beat their chest about....being blue collar ..humble etc etc .....

I say on the first few Eagles drives, try to force McNabb to run.....maybe he will tweak his hammy and be forced out of the game.....then we can unleash the hounds on Kolb.

I didnt say trash talking, i mean its nice they have a lil confidence in their abilities. They still have to go out and execute.

It seems like they're trying to create controversy with the Cowboys comments that really weren't all that inflammatory.

Additionally, I don't know where you guys are getting that DeSean Jackson is somehow humble - does anyone have that video of that piece ESPN did about how Jackson thinks he is "untouchable" and "too fast" and all of that?

He acted like a seasoned vet in his response, but one can tell he seemed a bit annoyed and maybe even worried while responding.

That's because he knows if he was shut down once, he can be shut down again. Should be interesting come Sunday.

Yes indeed. To me, Jenkins vs. Jackson is the key matchup in the game that will decide who wins.

This defense has survived a road trip to see the Greatest Show on Turf Part II (the Saints), who IMO have the scariest passing attack in the NFL. I like our chances if Jenkins has a good game.

HaHaHa I'm loving that every single Ravens fan here is picking Philly against us. They don't believe we beat them. Oh my I guess inferiority complexes hi this area faster than a storm.

I think that all three of the cornerbacks that Jerry and Wade maneuvered to bring to the front, will play important rolls on Sunday. I'm glad that both Scandrick and Jenkins are growing alongside of Newman. The whole secondary is finally getting a true 'dress rehearsal' prior to the playoffs. This secondary is a lot better technique wise form last year, and tremendously faster.
