We're pretty good at keeping things in front of us. I think they can handle Jackson. Celek worries me a little. And those short crossing patterns across the middle have given us trouble. Well a lot of trouble. That's on Scandrick and the LBs.

That and runs...I would include the Dallas safeties with the linebackers in controlling the center areas of the umbrella in the short and intermediate areas.

What's really unfair when comparing WRs to CBs is that a CB can stop a WR 10 times in a game, and on the 11th try, is the hero. give up a TD. Therefore, the CB had a bad game, and the WR is the hero.

our guys have been trash talking...???

Thats news to me.

and who cares what jackson says, this is a guy who fumbled at the 1 celebrating and then got fined for celebrating a few weeks ago.

Its kind of funny how Desean Jackson is the anti-philly player, or at least anti what the fans and media up there always beat their chest about....being blue collar ..humble etc etc .....

Glad to see you back. ;)

Believe it or not, in that game where that happened, I realized he was going to be a VERY special player. That was the Army All American Highschool game in San Antonio. Before that play, he caught a short out pass and put a move on a DB that the DB nearly broke his ankles. I know that expression is used alot, but that really almost happened. You could see the CB's legs buckle under him just trying to catch Jackson.

I've been a fan of his ever since and was pinning for the Cowboys to draft him for years.

I respect Jackson as a player, but he's an Eagle, so I have to hate him.

I've been out of town since Wednesday morning, secluded deep within the Texas hill country with neither Internet nor television. Can someone direct me to the copious amounts of trashtalk allegedly offered up by the Cowboys? There must be more to it than the article indicates.

wasn't trash talking. It isn't trash talking when it's the truth. Jackson has been getting away with big plays on deep routes because he goes largely untouched. Just look at the films. What Jenkins was trying to say was that the Cowboys need to be more physical with him and not take him for granted or else he'll burn you.

If anything, Jenkins was paying him a compliment.

We'll see how the defense responds. IMO, I'd use almost the same game plan that the Cowboys used against the Saints. Invite the Beagles to run the ball as much as they want and pressure McChunky as much as possible. Just don't let him get comfortable in the pocket and allow those 3 receivers to run wild. Keep them from making the big plays, they get impatient and, eventually, frustrated.

T. Newman will be on him anyway, I don't see where the Jenkins vs Jackson stuff came from honestly...

Is anybody here really concerned about being beaten on a long play? I can only remember one play of over 40-50 this year and that was the Jacobs pass where Sensabaugh was blatantly held without a flag.

People just haven't been making plays deep against us and I fully expect that to continue this week. They're playing SB caliber D this year.

I love how these tools aren't concerned about the Cowboys. I mean isn't this the same group of thugs that supported Michael Vick? Oh the irony!

That's a good point.

San Diego's bomb right after Ware's injury. The play against Denver by Marshall also comes to mind, but that was basically a 20 yards pass with a ton of missed tackles afterwards. Everything else has been pretty much short and intermediate stuff.

Still, that should be a warning sign. Just about every year, defenses lay an egg at least in one game when it comes to big plays. Hopefully it won't be this year for the Cowboys.
