Philly game should show us again that D wins championships

If that game was played in arlington like the packers-cowboys game was last year the ball would have been thrown all around.

Playing outside in january is huge. It was cold and windy today and it played perfectly to that team.

Isn’t that why they fight for home field? It actually works for some teams.

philly was very lucky to win today. how many times did they put the ball on the ground? the lucky bounce off atl's db. the wound duck pass fole's chucked up and draws an int. falcons choking near the goal.

Our Best LB , RB , Kicker HOF LT and MVP QB out for season and all we do is win . Unlike other teams that fall apart if they are missing a player on one side of the ball . It shows how important depth and team play is .

Wentz is not an MVP. Stop. The most overrated player in football. Have not lost a game since he went out. Won a playoff game. Great OL, run game, defense and play calling is why Wentz looked the way he did this season.

To be honest it really doesn't matter what you do, if you have to face an elite QB any time you have some momentum.

Philly facing Matt Ryan and a Falcons team that was the wildcard on the road .. meh.

Had that been an Aaron Rodgers, or Brees team in this game, the Philly result easily could have been what we've had to experience good D or not..

Yep, no superstar QB leading the team. just good decisions for the most part and good D. The Julio slip on 4'th and goal didn't hurt either. Shows what good D and a little lucky will do

Yeah, that Falcon offense has been sputtering for awhile now. Surprising they made it to the playoffs.

The Eagles are going to NFC Championship game while the Cowboys are continuing the process with Jason Garrett:

Man I want to see the Vikings and Philly in the conference final. Two great defenses battling for go to the show

It would still fall on deaf ears.

It was pretty clear what the Eagles defense can do.

With Cox and Jernigan inside, you are not going to make a living running between the tackles.

Marinelli does not believe on interior strength, he would rather have quick twitch rush men.

Philly had a superior plan to beat Atlanta. Long drives, consume time, wear down the Falcons, and depend on the D to win. Smart, smart, smart.

we have two great plans, if its working, stop it and than we out smart ourselves.

wait till july when they are selling brian price as a player to watch along with lewis neal.

I am literally going to stop paying attention this summer if this is what happens.

even so, they probably come down and win with a field goal

well the eagles are in the championship game the nfl is all about taking advantage of the opportunities that you get along the way, cowboys have had a couple opportunities and the spit the bit on both of them coaching and a really good defense goes a long way

Philly is a COMPLETE team. They have an awesome defense, but they also made trades and grabbed guys like Ajayi for a 4th rounder. Even if they don't have their starting qb, they still are rolling. It's sad that we could never get in the championship game with Dez, Witten, Romo, and Murray, all guys with elite skillsets, and yet the Eagles are in with Nick Foles LOL

anyone want to argue coaching doesn't matter?
Idgit does because he still defends Garrett. "Coaching doesnt matter" is literally the only reason to defend him.

With a backup QB (and better coaching), PHI advancing to NFC championship proves that a dominant D can compensate for a weak O. Tough pill to swallow after we went one and done last year. We should go DT, S, and LB in draft and free agency.

You're right in that a dominate D can compensate for a weak O; however, the title of this post is "D wins championships." I sure didn't see much D in last year's Super Bowl.
