Am I misremembering or did La'el Collins have better success vs Cox than Leary used to? I think Cox is the one guy he's struggled with more than once. But hopefully his reworked body helps him manage him better

Everybody struggles against Cox. That dude is good.

Philly scored 14 offensive points. That's it. They struggle on offense.

And before you say that was Minnesota's defense at work, remember that Washington did the same thing to them. Wentz took a beating against the Commanders. Ryan Matthews is a No. 2 back at best. The receivers are awful, which is why they're hunting Torrie Smith. The offensive line is just horrible.

Defensively, the Eagles are really good. But so was Cincinnati and Green Bay. The Cowboys offensive line can neutralize Philly's greatest strength.

The only way Dallas loses this game is if Dak has a bad night and starts throwing picks.

Cowboys don't have a DE that can wreak havoc like a Kerrigan.

That is true, but Cincinnati's offensive line is better than Philly's and the Cowboys got to Dalton.

Plus, the Dallas secondary has been good, and improving every week. Scandrick returns, too, so another good player in that mix.

Hopefully, Lawrence will be healthier this week with the extra rest.

Play tight man to man coverage. Most of phily's passes are cross routes or screens. Take this away and you will see Wentz confused which will result in turnovers.

That seems more like an offense you play zone against. That is unless you want a lot of big plays.

I would like to see some 2 WR sets with just Beasley and Whitehead to keep their weak secondary honest. I expect to see our line dominate with most of the challenge coming from Cox who is a monster. I wouldn't even mind having Whitehead in backfield as well on quick screens or check downs in the flat. This could keep pass rush honest as well.

I really can't wait for this game!!

Different offense.Wentz looks to get rid of the ball very quickly.

Sean Lee in beast mode is scary to watch. I cringe at some of those hits. I don't want to be a receiver on the other team with him on the field. Hits like that get into your head and you are always a little skittish to catch the ball up in the air with him around. I think Sean's play will have a big impact on the game.

Agree. But to hit Sproles need to catch him first, and that old man still has some wheels and make you miss ability.

If we get a lead and Philly is as aggressive as they usually are. I can see some long TD's for Zeke. But we start backing them off with the passing game. With Dez back they will need to respect that. So I can see Beasley, Witten and TWill, even Swaim getting opportunities early.

Eagles front 7 is one of the better ones in the NFL, but their CB's aren't. Also if Bennie Logan is a no go, that means cox gets doubled if our OL can't handle him one on one. Which I think we try at first. And should do alright. It's not like we have scrubs of an OL that their d have been going against.

On offense, I think they're more built around Sproles than people give credit for. Key in on he and the delayed handoffs, take away Wentz's first read and you have a really good shot.

I also think that the Philly defense surrendered its edge when they moved to single gap.

Dallas should win this game, but you never know with divisional games.

You would have to go back and see when Leary was playing with an injury. Every year he has had a groin issue at some point and his play declined significantly during those games. When 100% healthy, Leary has been terrific. This year he had the groin to start the season but it didn't matter because Collins was starting then.

Philly is one of the very few teams that can steal a win on special teams.

Philly o-line is not horrible, as a previous poster stated. While they are weak at RT, Peters and both guards are fine. Kelce can be manhandled at the line, but he is very fast and can take out players at the second level. Attack the right side of the line and force the TE/RB to stay in and block.

Philly receivers are a below-average group that has too many drops. Wentz should honestly have three more TD passes. There is no real speed in their WR's. They are so bad you may not even have to jam them at the line.

Ertz is overrated at TE. I have never seen a TE get less YAC than Ertz. He gets touched and usually goes down. Celek is a very good blocker and a decent receiver, but getting old.

Wentz is a rookie learning the game. Not having Lane Johnson has made him a bit more wary and no doubt uncomfortable. His arm is huge (I saw his toss a ball that went over 70 yards in the air without much effort seemingly) but the coaches don't let him use it. They fear he has a bit too much of Favre in him and want to keep him reigned in for now.

The front four will miss Logan, but Beau Allen, at 335 lbs. has game experience and can make plays. Crash down on Cox in his 3-tech with two players like Washington did. Cox is straight up nasty one-on-one.

At LB, Kendricks is getting less playing time, as the coaching staff is getting tired of him overrunning plays. Hicks is their growing up version of Sean Lee and they are very high on the youngster. He has performed well this year.

Corners are average, but can't believe how good Mills has looked. He is a rookie that can be exploited, but he doesn't back down and stays active. They are thin there with injuries.

Safeties...Malcolm Jenkins is a top safety in this league. I remember when people ripped the Eagles for not getting Jarious Byrd and settling for Jenkins. Someone was right and a lot of people were wrong.

I think we win by 14, but if we make a few mistakes and keep them in the game, those damn ST's can steal a win from us. We play mistake-free ball, I bet the house on a Cowboy victory. Pull a Vikings? Don't be shocked if we lose.

General Lee owns Philly. Seems to really elevate his play vs. them. I like him to get his first INT of the year by baiting Wince.

It's safe to say,gentlemen!

If we man up and have an effective controlled rush--keeping QB in pocket.
if we do not turn the ball over
we win

The Eagles have a very good pass rush so this is the one thing that should worry all Cowboy fans. Remember that they destroyed the Steelers and Minnie. So, if we win the rushing battle this should be good enough to win the game. If we have to rely on the pass, this could be our Achilles Heel leading to turn overs.
