Philly has intimidated Dallas more than any team over the last couple of years. Cowboys owe Philly a Texas size @$$ kicking... excuse my french.

Just a hint. Don't try and circumvent the language filter with goofy spelling of cuss words and you (typically) won't have to be pardoned for your french.

I dont know about being a bully, but we certainly do owe them some payback for that 44-6 beat down we got last year in Philly.

Wade should have been fired in the lockerroom after that horrid display of football. I still have no idea how he survived that.

I think a big reason for that perception is Philly's defense over the years w/ their blitzes and just a few annoying plays

Who doesn't remember Dallas/Emmitt failing to pick up ONE yard? Or EGirls fans cheering when Irvin got hurt? Or McNabb's crazy play to TO. Or 44-6.

They've definitely been the source of frustration for years.

They also have the ability to blow us out or provide a humiliating loss no matter the standings or perceived trajectories. While losing to them is never unexpected, it is the method that is always a punch to my stomach. Pickle Bowl, Jessica Simpson, 44-6, The McNabb Scramble. . . So many deflating memories in a short period of time. . .

We are 6-14 vs Philly since 99 and we have lost every single meaningfull game against them during this span including several times when they were beat up and struggling (Lost the division on Xmas day of 06, got shellacked last year for a play off birth)

If the Cowboys could consistently play the Eagles like we did when we whipped them at their house in 07’, we could beat them (and anyone for that mater) every time.

I wish our players hated them the way the Eagles hate the Boys and come to play every damn time. They have dominated us over the last 20 games and outscored us by 200 points. When we lose to the Eagles, we tend to lose big. 57% of the times we've lost to them it's been by over 21 points and 71% of the times we've lost to them, it's been by over 14 points.

Someone should post these stats in every locker with the question, tired of getting sand kicked in your face and laughed off the field by Philly yet?

I'm always worried when we play the eagles... they do seem to have our number as of the last 5 or so years.

The Cowboys have been abysmal against the Eagles this decade. But there is good news: By the time of the second Cowboys/Eagles game, this decade will have come to an end.

We've scored 19 total points combined against them in December since Romo became the starter. That last regular season game is looking scary. Especially if we dont handle bidnezz on Sunday.

Dallas is 4-4 vs them the last 8 games, and we have blown them out twice in that stretch. Prior to 2005 Dallas was losing to every team in the league regularly. This game can go either way.

I'd have to agree that Philly is our bully. The reason sportsman states this is not because we swept in 05', and split series those other couple/three years, it's because when our season was on the line, or the game was big for whatever reason, the Eagles rose to the occasion, and the Cowboys got whooped!

So yes, the Eagles have been a bully to us.

Thanks Fletch that is the reason I entered this thread. We have to stop excepting a beat down when things count in Philly.

When the Eagles beat us, they kill us and it's usually ugly. When we beat them, we've typically won close games (except for twice this decade).

There was a series of games in the middle of the decade where we lost every game to Philly by at least 20-30 points (like 6 out of 7 games). Believe me, those were bad times for Cowboys fans and the losses to the Eagles underscored how bad the Campo years were. Even Parcells had a couple of ugly losses to philthy. Surprisingly, Bledsoe had the most success against them while Romo has been up and down.

7 losses in a row... :(

I'll never forget how happy I was when they finally got their win in '03.

Last 4 years has been about even. But those earlier years... just shows how bad things were.

Some "bully".

Fact alert, almost-- the Boys are 4-4 against the Iggles in the last 4 years...

Now, it IS true that the Iggles have put some humongous whuppins on the Boys in their wins, but claiming that they're our "bully" is clearly stretching the truth..

Go back and reread the initial post, paying particular attention to this part of the first sentence:

over the last couple of years

And then, consider that in the most recent future, the Boys are 4-4 against the Iggles... including 1-1 against them last year...

In those 8 games, the Boys have scored 176 points, 22 per game, the Iggles have scored 199, 24.9 per game, an average margin of less than 3 a game... a stat skewed greatly by that disappointing 44-6 loss at season's end last year... in the previous 7 games, the Boys had actually outscored the Iggles 170-155...

I know it's hard to get past the game last year, but the truth is, in the last 8 games, the Boys have also put some pretty solid beatings on the Iggles too-- 38-17 and 33-10...

IOW, in recent years this has been a good, competitive series... to suggest the Iggles have "bullied the Boys" in these recent years is quite ridiculous...
