Image: Photo - Randy White & Sam Williams

Both White and Williams are listed at 6’4” but Williams looks all of 3 inches taller than White. As you age can lose some height. Hulk Hogan was 6’7” but lost 3 inches due to back surgeries. White could have had his share of those.
More like 6 or 7 inches taller. Williams isn't even standing up straight

Measurements do not change from era to era. An inch then is an inch now.

It would be wise understanding how photographs can affect an individual's visual perception. Photo angle is always important. You may wish to re-visit the photo and pay attention to the door behind them. Would a doorway be that markedly different in height from relatively a few feet away?

People shrink by an inch as they grow older. Human biology.

White is leaning slightly forward. Sam Williams' shoulders are slightly back.
And we both know that people embellish size height and weight is embellished a lot in sports especially back then they weren't doing a whole lot of analytics and really putting these guys through a lot of public exposed like when they're heightened or weight and they have a lot of exposure so it's hard to line nowadays but we all know the embellish it yes I realize that but I'm telling you how do you know for sure he was 6 foot 4 to me he could have been 6 foot 2 and now he looks a little shorter cause he got older..

I don't know what you're trying to tell me like I don't know that a tape measures the same i'm telling you they embellish the heights of their players or the players themselves just tell the team how tall they are and that's what I want on my bio and that's what they put..

I didn't say he was super short i'm saying he could have truly been 6 foot 2 and they just listed him at 6 foot 4 but we know the way Sam Williams looks in that picture he looks six foot forward...

No i dont think he looks good. Average guy at best.

But because he is an idiot. It surprises me that he looks like he is able to finish school at least.
I don't think he's an idiot. He just has bad moments...too many, to be sure...but I don't think that's enough to define him

duh Really?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????

I thought they used like some space age measurements,
that's not what I said I said they embellished their heights they tell teams that they want them to list in their bios some of them are off we've known this for years and I get it yes angles the way pics are taken also do we want to go there it also can make a player look thinner or fatter as well or what look like they've gotten really great shape,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
yes camera angles and the exposure definitely can change the way people look and around here people are being called fat and out of shape even though they're not because of the way they camera angles, wearing the way a shirt was laying, blah blah blah

yes, I get it i'm just telling you, I believe they've been doing it for decades, but they were doing it more back then where they just embellished the height and no one ever proved otherwise, nowadays everything is so under a microscope that it's harder to do that....

You know like everyone believing that Mazi Smith lost 40- plus pounds and then he had to gain 40 plus pounds back, you know almost impossible that is that didn't happen the man may have lost 10 to 15 pounds and then had to get 10 to 15 pounds back but everyone here believes what they read and that is the Internet..

It's the same thing going on with Prescott yes he looks much more trim ,he looks like his body fat % went waydown but His weight loss was embellished from the beginning he didn't lose that much weight he just basically lost body fat got much more lean muscle now so yes the Internet embellishes a lot of things including people's heights...

Yes a lot can be done with some photographic tricks.

I seen a photo one time, that illustrated deception. A 6 foot man seemed to be taller than a 7 foot man.
The 6 foot man was actually standing in the foreground by a good 10 feet. The camera angle was from near ground level. It appeared that were side by side at first glance.
I noticed it right away. As I used to do a lot of photography. Had, still have all types of lenses and filters from an old Pentax, K-1000, 35 mm camera.

I used to experiment all the time. But had to be careful not to waste film. Now days, with the digital cameras, if it doesn't work, delete, and retake.

You're sitting here with a straight face acting like people haven't embellished their height and weight and that their bios are wrong it happens all the time so you can't be telling me that you don't understand that you're trying to convince me it doesn't happen that there's no way that Randy White could have been only 6 foot 2? You're saying that's not possible? By the way Aaron Donald with only 6 foot 1 at least that's what he was listed as so don't tell me a defensive tackle can't be 6 foot 2....

Randy looks like he can still play.
He is usually on the Sunday Game Day Live show during the season. Gives some good insight. And predicts Dallas to win the game.

I met him in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, around mid 90's. He let me try on his SB ring. I could almost get 2 of my fingers in it. (a little exaggeration there). He was very nice and cool.
I wore Erik Williams ring during lunch once...I wore a 15 ring at the time and his was probably a 20.

I will answer you in a different way.

I can believe your essayist conspiracy theory.

Or

I can believe what my eyes showed me on television during his entire Dallas Cowboys playing career standing side-by-side with other people, such as Coach Landry. He was 6 feet one inch. I remember White looking down slightly at him.

Extending your sense of logic, Landry must have been 5'11'' or shorter.

Stop. The. Insanity.

If you're spending that much time on it, I'm living rent free...FTW!
It takes a split second to see any member change what they already posted. The question was simple. "Did autocorrect make the mistake?" The answer should have been yes a few posts back if it had.

I make typos myself. Sometimes, autocorrect gets me on my iPhone. It happens to everyone. My curiosity got the best of me. Sorry.
