Props to the Cowboys for being cheap on this one. Looking more and more like the right decision. Good for some occasional long bombs, just like Alvin Harper, but CeeDee is the workhorse, just like Michael Irvin. It will still hurt when they lose him and replace him with Fluornoy, but maybe he's willing to come down in price.

And that would be fine.

There’s only one football, and I’m not entirely sure where Shoddy wants to go with things just yet.

It was some sort of given that this offense was a juggernaut, but I don’t think so. Strange things going on….not sure what, but this is a staff of a rebuilding team that’s expected to win now because Jerry is old so they decided to try. How nice.

If he’s Alvin Harper this offense is going to put up 34 a night

Irvin was killing defenses and all of a sudden you have harper with 2 catches for 180 yards and 2 tds

Hey look let's be real. This offense needs to run through CD lamb as a receiver. Pickens is a great compliment and there's going to be games where he can take over but overall CDs. The guy that you want to give the ball to early and often and get him going on a daily or weekly basis. Pickens is a great receiver. Love having them but he is definitely a number two

Pickens will have his games. It all depends on how they choose to defend them.

What? Harper played in a run first offense and was a 3rd or 4th option for Troy. Pickens is a legit #1 wr who had Stingley on him all day. So, Dak went to CD all game. Not throwing at Stingley was a smart move. Very few teams, if any, have 2 shut down CBs. The passing game flowed today for one half of football. If Stingley had switched to CD, Pickens would have the big game.

Let’s focus on this season. Lamb and Pickens are a great duo. Dak is playing great. Javonte is good. Guyton has been a huge surprise. Tyler Smith will be back soon. TE could be better but is serviceable. Steele is the biggest weakness. The defense is another story. We added a lot of talent but it hasn’t been working yet. We’ll see. It’s a long season.

Are you sure about that? Kamari Lassiter seemed to be the man on Pickens most of the game.

Possibly, but CeeDee had his best year ever with an old Brandin Cooks on the other side.
Looks to me like CeeDee is the reason Pickens had his standout year last season, including the injury that gave him more starting time. Having said that, it's still nice to have a vertical jump threat like him on the field. I just wish he didn't want to charge us $40 million a year for it.

Pickens is part of the reason CD had 17 catches. No Pickens and a defense like the Texans can shut CD down.

Exactly, which is where someone like Pickens is dangerous. Just a shame he's also dangerous to my FF team this year with that too in a negative way haha

for real. i hate the knee jerk reactions and need to make proclamations every week

A problem today is that Dak was getting pressured quickly and often so his reads were limited

GP had 2rec on 3tgt but also drew 2 *BIG* penalties against HOU that eventually lead to a DAL TD

So he had himself a good game

Soon as Lamb starts seeing a build of the coverage, GP will be there to pick up the pace. This is why the 2 are lethal

This, Stingley is no joke and you don’t want to take too many shots his way. Only a fool OC would go his way too many times, he’s not Neion but still good and not going to chance it.
