Twitter: Pickens was wide open

If you or anyone show me where Pickens was open while the ball is still in Dak's hands, I'll stop posting for the rest of the season.....
QBs throw *before* the break all the time.
Two biggest cap hits on a lone corner. Play to win.

And Dak had time to wait. He wasn't under pressure. Instead, he was content to run a give up play.

Paid QB. Paid ceedee. Paid Williams. Tagged GP. If you can’t put the ball in their hands and tell them to go get it done at the 3 yard line then you don’t belong in the head coach position.
This.
This was the time for the QB and WRs to earn their big bucks.
Single coverage on Pickens.
2 man game with our 2 highest cap hits. And a punk out.
Sad.

Like you said, Dak doesnt throw that ball away 99 times out of 100. If anything, his error is going to be holding on to the ball too long waiting for the route to develop or throwing a tight window ball giving his WR a chance.
+1
Yeah, It's more like Dak to throw it a beat late than a beat early.

When you have a coach and quarterback that are military trained men used to surviving situations far worse than a football game able to deal with pressure that most people would find more than overwhelming. you possess a combination that is able to lead men make them walk through the fire and play way over their heads never giving up .

This is what we had with Tom Landry and Roger Staubach and of course why we made the playoffs almost every year went to the Super bowl five times and were the franchise that everyone wanted to emulate.

When you have the combination of a coach and a quarterback that are fearful and hesitant in big moments unable to manage the clock and conquer situational football it sticks out like a sore thumb the rest of the team recognizes it and goes on career protect mode.

That's where the team is headed presently after last week's game no one is going to jeopardize their career when the coach and quarterback have no confidence and don't know how to win.

Players will do enough to get by collect their paycheck and preserve their career.

They have just had it proved to them that they're best efforts will be squandered by poor leadership.
