IMO it looks like Romo lost his grip on the ball before completing the handoff.

50/50 on him and Murray. It was close enough for Murray to grab it but it was coming out of Romo's hands.

It'll all come out in the wash. Romo is a bit rusty yet and that will be resolved with more snaps. This should aid his awareness.

I agree nothing to worry about. I was curious because watching the game they mentioned the ball was low but did not look that way to me.

The handoff will get cleaned up by Week 1--if not as early as the next preseason game. My only concern is that nut trying to tackle the defender who recovered the fumble. Someone should ***** slap him the next time that kind of thought even remotely crosses his mind. Romo is far too valuable in this offense to suffer a meaningless injury.

Yeah, he actually got a sharp twist at the beginning of that tackle attempt....glad he let go.
It was just instincts. I definitely was yelling "let go!". Lol
He also got knocked on his butt once by Suggs.
That's kind of good news, just to let him have some contact on a couple of plays.

Quarterbacks are taught to put the football the running backs stomach. A running back keeps his eyes up. Can't afford to watch if the QB has put the ball in it's proper place. Romo lost the grip. It'll happen.

That's what I see too he lost his gripe on the ball. Stuff happens

I thought the same thing watching the game but just assumed I missed something. Couldn't see it in the detail of those photos but now you can see he just lost his gripe on the ball

The haters will focus on it for a few days.

Plays like that happen to everyone. It's no big deal and should be immediately forgotten.

The penalties on the offense, on the other hand, reek of crud that happened all last year. I am going to lean towards calling it preseason rust, however, I worry mucho about discipline.
