Bit of advice from personal experience -

Never drive long road trips to Pink Floyd. The music is hypnotic, and before you know it you are getting pulled over for lead footing.

I saw Floyd in 1975 and 1977.

Rate their shows up there with my Zepplin shows in same years.

The 70’s was a great time attending concerts and living in DFW.

Attached is a copy of some of the stubs I saved during the 70’s as saw over 100 major concerts just in that decade. I framed my fav’s for my man cave.

Lotsa top notch talent seen there, also remember those promoters, Concerts West and Stone City Attractions. Looks like you saw Queen in 77 probably with Thin Lizzy.

I have a couple friends which saved many more than I did. And remember this is just from that decade.

While we didn’t go to as many after the 70’s as many bands either broke up or didn’t tour as much we either moved away getting on with our lives in different areas after school.

We were in high school and college then and would camp out over night at the ticket booths the night before tickets went on sale often getting some great seats . And the crowd would crunch and push up so tightly that once you got your tickets only way out was being tossed back over the crowd .

Great era to be a Rock fan. And our music has stood the test of time . We continued to attend concerts and still do on occasion with few artist still touring who interest us. ABB family who we probably saw more than any other Band after the 70’s mainly cause they stayed together so long and Warren Haynes, Govt Mule , Derek Trucks and Tedeschi are some of our favorites we still attend . Along with Joe Bonamasa and Kenny Wayne Sheppard. And an occasional old artist or band at the Indian Casinos .

My first show was Steppenwolf in 1969. We missed a few we’d of liked to see but scheduling conflicts with Cowboy games on Monday nights.

College…concerts…great times! I was in radio, and had access to hundreds of shows. Met a lot of rock stars. Ever see Floyd in the 90’s? My favorite show!

The 70's rule for the bands that were performing, and the albums that were released in the 70's.

No, only saw Floyd in 75 and 77. Same years we saw Zepplin. Prob some of the greatest shows we are proud to have attended .

Tough tickets to get . We had to camp out over night and get crammed up in line when went on sale.
