Just a few thought from attending the game

--Whatever the thermometer said didn't do it justice. It was brutally cold. My water bottle froze almost solid while I was away at halftime. It was also much windier than it appeared, the open end makes the wind swirl through the place.

--If you ever go to a Steeler game, go with the Legends Club tickets. Heated tent for tailgating with tons of flat screens, decent food and former Steelers hanging out. I talked for a good while with Mel Blount and his family. It's great to see someone use there fame for good and I wish the NFL publicized stories like his more often.

--Owens' TD was right in front of me and to be honest, that ball should have been picked off also.

--Witten was open more times than I can count, they were rolling Clark over Owens and Polumalu was out of position more times than not or he beat a LB. It looked like Witten slipped on the INT TD and there was some sort of miscommunication on the late 4th down play because he was open for a big gain on the seam but Romo appeared to think he was going to squat.

--Someone called the 4th down play the Steelers ran on the goal line stand. I don't know who but I heard someone yell where it was going before the snap.

--The Cowboys have the worst kick return blocking I've ever seen at any level. Sitting in the end zone, you usually see holes open and close but nothing ever opened. A few players looked like they were afraid of contact.

--Henry really struggled at safety. He was burnt badly a few times but Roethlisberger didn't see his man.

--I don't know how there wasn't a penalty on the player that roughed up Jones on the muffed punt.

-- Phillips wasted that first challenge so he couldn't challenge a non-catch by Washington on their long drive.

Someone said the replay booth screwed up on Romo's fumble, which wasn't.

I also made the trip out to Pitt. There was a decent showing of cowboy fans, at least in the section I was in. It is a great place to see a game (except it was brutally cold) The tailgating was fun and I heard "Tony Homo" probably 150 times throughout the day but the fans were pretty respectful.

That "reach over" and "fight for the ball" and "catch of the ball" WAS ALL OWENS.

He bailed Tony out on that one... but thats what "teammates" do for each other.

Why he gets a bad rap by 2/3 of Zoners here is mystifying. They even make up stuff like he was responsible for Romo's first INT by supposedly giving up on that route.

BTW-for the record, the minute the news broke 2 years ago how Owens signed here, I crapped the bad. So no-I'm not an Owens apologist by any means.

yeah it was a dumb challenge by him

re the muffed punt, I thought the same thing, the guy almost picked Jones up and threw him away from the pile. Should have been 15.

Re the fourth down play, you are right, Witten was wide open, would have gone for at least 30 yards but he never looked back for the ball.

good observations big guy.

Were the guy in a blue Marion Barber jersey right behind where TO caught his TD?

True, and that goes double for an ill-advised endzone pass he attempted earlier, but it was a miracle he even got the pass off. It was ugly, but he was under duress.

It was witten who read the defense wrong on the last play. They lined up in cover 2 and switched when the ball was snapped to something with "a single High safety" as witten put it, must have been a cover 3 or some sort of robber look.

Anyway, witten blew that play. and the third down play, well someone stopped running and then started again and I am not sure what the quarterback is supposed to do when everyone is not on the same page.

the offense was out of sync and erratic all day. guys couldnt get lined up which is inexcusable and everyone holds the blame for that. The play after witten got hurt, curtis came in and could not get lined up correctly, totally inexcusable and embarrassing to me. that cost us a timeout and because we had not timeouts we couldnt challenge whether or not that punt hit a steeler before it hit battle.

I think the offense will settle down sunday in the 70 degree weather and make alot of plays.

Well, seeing that the giants will be very physical with him and get in his head early in the game, I wouldnt take that bet.

I bet its witten, bennett and a motivated roy williams who wants to do well against a former teammate Aarron ross if he even plays.

but i would look for 81 to get shut out early and get into it with the giants defense with his mouth.

How does a DB with his back to the ball pick it? That would be one hell of a play.

Taylor almost did it against Peyton Manning..but it got tipped cause he has stone hands and Reggie caught in TD lol

I want to go to pittsburgh once and see a game, I live in Cincinnati I went for my first game ever this past year cause I had my own money. It was a hell of a time!

The shame of it is that "someone" had one on one coverage and just gave up on the play until the ball was in the air. "He" had his man beat and would have scored if the ball was caught. It was a decent throw and the QB has to trust that his receiver is going to be where he's supposed to be. Too bad but, unfortunately, it wasn't surprising.

absolutely right.

And I hate talking about this but, against sf he ran a route, I think it is a 4 route to the sideline and from what laufenberg said and where romo threw the ball it was supposed to be a pump n go, but he never turned it up field and it was very similar. That play was on the second drive of the niners game.

Everyone has to get on the same page.

Lol you'd be surprised..in 05 it was TERRIBLE omg..I was at a steak n shake and just had my Ben jersey on these dudes come out of the bathroom yelling WHO DEY )&)(*#*&(*(&#$*()&)(* almost got jumped..but it's a lot more calm now.

I know quite a few bengal fans who have been fans since the franchise first started, One guy I know has had season tickets for 30 years and he sold them..well because he is tired of paying 3500 a year for a team that does nothing. I wanna go so bad man thanks! It's only like 450 miles away!

I flew to the Dallas -Giants game last year.Even though we lost it was one of the best experiences of my life. I greatly enjoyed the tailgating with fellow fans and the stadium tour was awesome. Well worth it.
Even got to meet one fellow formite. Had a blast.

The cool thing about Paul Brown Stadium is, The tickets are cheap and every seat has a good view.

And not to mention every single touchdown was in my endzone. Had a blast.

Congrats on getting out to see a game! It's something every fan should see once

I was at the game freezing my nuts off and when I saw the play and I immediately thought that this board was going to go nuts. I'm suprised that this wasn't brought up sooner. TO gave up on the play with the game on the line...plain and simple.
