Plan for Winning in the Playoffs

  • 1: They need a better plan vs running QBs like Tyler Murray.
    • They often used Parsons as a spy on Murray which limited his overall impact on the game.

I always thought that QB spies are way too passive. They shouldn't just be waiting around for the QB to run. They should be on blitz/contain. If they lose contain sometimes, ok. Spies are generally way to much weighted on trying to contain than trying to tackle. Tackling a QB contains him too.

It is too late to make any radical changes.

• Offense
  • 3: More outside runs for Pollard to stretch defenses horizontally.
  • 4: Quit using Schultz as a blocker.

Stretch teams *vertically* with Pollard. He's the second fastest guy on the offense after Cooper.

I remember a few years ago we sent that fast FB from the Raiders deep. He was open. Dak just got too much of a rush and couldn't get the ball there.

And we never tried it again. These guys are so frustrating.

Dak throws deep balls better now, and Pollard is faster than that guy.

#2 on offense: Dak needs to put an arc on his throws or pump fake.

Using our best player on D in such a limited role didn't seem like a good use of him.

JMO, but I don’t recall many passes being batted down prior to the AZ game. That was a result of them getting quick penetration on our O-line. The O-line simply needs to be better. They play better and both the run and pass will improve.

  • 2: More snaps for Kelvin Joseph.

I know its crazy . . . but why not use Joseph to spy . . . does he have the speed to keep up with Murray?

After watching Murray run at will really scares me. . he can pick up a 1st down at will

Dalton wasn’t this bad , he was supposed to better blocker than catcher. i think as the season ending , he is probably thinking ahead to next year and wants to keep himself out of injury so that he can get his next contract. ( may be with another team if things dont work with Boys )That can alone explain complete whiffs.

Oh hell yes you can blame him. IF what you say is true(and I highly doubt it), no team would want to sign him.
