Play calling

You know I was upset with it the last few weeks but frankly with Weeden at the helm iI am not sure it makes much difference. Grrrrrr

He looks for someone two yards open in the 2-5 yard range...but middle to right side of field.

I'm more upset with play design than play calling. When you watch the Patriots pass offense every single route is designed and run with a specific purpose, then you watch our pass offense and its just 3 or 4 guys running in a straight line down the field.

Exactly right. There are very few routes that are schemed to make designed throws easier. It also does not help that the WRs cannot handle beating their man, which means they are not good enough to do what they are being asked to do.

I understand the injuries, but the lack of creativity on offense is puzzling.

This exactly the time when you would like to see the coaching staff go into its bag of tricks instead of running the SOS vanilla attack.

And WHERE in the world is Gavin Escobar?

We don't even need tricks.. Just a modern day NFL offense would be enough.

Running to the same side to the same hole leaves a lot to be desired. Just straight hand off with no imagination. Oh yeah.... That's Garrett's fault when it DOESN'T work.

We got our WRs trying to beat corners on sideline go routes...

The guy who can't get more than a carry from McFadden or Randle, and I am the one in denial? LOL!!!!!

Or the guy that got shipped out of Seattle and replaced by the Dinosaur Fred Jackson, and some UDFA that lit it up yesterday.

In the shadow of an old veteran who is not the future. I say, in clearly disulatory seasons such as this one, play the young ones. We half got to no what they are made of. I want to see Escobar much more and rest up Whitten . . . for the playoffs.

its not just Weeden. our WRs suck. Williams is an average 2nd WR at best who still can't get off the line and has hands of stone. Street picture is on the side of a milk carton. beasly is only a slot WR. and our 4th WR is lucky whitehead...an UDFA, undersized WR who at best can play the slot in the future. this is not an NFL caliber WR group.

i dont think the insults are needed.

It is a classic ad hominem attack. He is incapable of forming an argument to support his position, so he reverts to insults. There's a reason why Seattle went with a 40 year old Fred Jackson over C Mike. There's a reason why he has never done anything in this league, and there's a reason why he can't beat out the bums we have running the ball.

It doesn't need to be either/or. This team has been trying since they drafted Martellus Bennett to install a two-tight end offense to no avail. It's really not rocket science, but Garrett can't seem to figure out how to make Witten and another talented tight end co-exist.

I like what you said. I am going to keep my eye on you.

Better be careful GTB. You know, you only got that one good eye and you lost the glass one in a poker game. That patch is really cool and it goes with the wooden leg, the hook, the single Jack boot and all. Looks pretty good but thinking you should probably be careful with this, "Keep my one good eye on you" stuff.

;-)

There is mush to be said about fashion ornamentation but I fooled you: The wooden leg is fake. I only wear it to get in to see the band.

Yeah, you did. Next thing you'll tell me is that you are some kinda Dean of Literature from Cambridge or something and not a self made inner city poet savant.

It's been like that for years. Romo has to wait to long for plays to develop. Romo really masked just how terrible Garrett is as a head coach and specifically, his terrible playcalling. And he never adjusts. He lets a team take away what we want to do and we never counter react. It's pathetic.

I dont know what that mean but I am sure it is a good thing. :)
