It's a win-win if we lose we get a top five draft pick if we win and Lance plays really well he could be traded for draft picks but to leave him sit on the bench after we've invested the draft capital is foolish

If the Cowboys aren’t going to play Lance now why did they acquire him? Another wasted pick.

Now is the perfect time to play him as more than likely the Cowboys will not be in playoff contention and the team already knows what they have in Cooper Rush…at the very least allow Lance to play in a few series to see what he can do.

We know what we have in Rush. The season is pretty much a wrap after yesterday, and Dak is hurt. To me, the most logical thing to do is to put Dak on season ending IR (let him reboot next in season), and let's see what Lance can do. At this point, let's sort through our roster and see what we have. Save our starters that are hurt until next year, and let's see if we can get a good evaluation of what we have. That starts with Lance. Let's see if he's any good.
At this point of a horrible season, I too say sprinkle in Trey Lance. In short yardage situations give their opponent something to think about when they're trying to stop the Boys, but don't bring him if there is a nice flow going with the offense.

Exactly, I want to see him on the field. If nothing else, we should try to get him into a Taysom Hill role.

This is entirely reasonable and thoughtful that is why it will not happen. Jethro and his dumber son will pretend the season is still in front of us and play Rush who is nothing more than a serviceable backup. The Trey Lawrence trade and the Mingo trade are so irrational that expecting to play either to show how dumb they were is antithetical to the way the Jones’ boys play their hands. They think that there is always a sucker born everyday and they are Cowboys fans willing to give them their money. And so far they are right. As for me, I will not give them one penny of my money and they have gotten me to root for whatever team they play. I want them to lose every game, become the butt if every NFL joke, and lose even the most die hard fans. Jerruh has ruined this team and there is no way of getting it back while he is the GM. He won’t ever give that up and thus the team will remain horrible for years to come. No real coach will take the job unless all they are interested in is money and some limelight. This franchise is doomed. Dak is now officially done. I saw this two years ago, now even the most casual observer knows it to be true. Stop supporting this insanity. Tell Jethro his scam is over.

Jerry’s plan is for Coop to get us part ways to the playoffs and then bring Dak back to finish the run all the way to the Super Bowl. Completely delusional.

We should…once it becomes clear the season is lost…take a look at Lance to see what he can do with some games under his belt.

I understand the Cowboys organization needs to keep up this fantasy that we are still playing for a playoff spot for a little while longer for mainly motivational and marketing reasons. Mathematically, we are still in the race. But, once reality smacks them in the face, we would evaluate Lance to see if he is able to do the job at all or he’s a lost cause. Could he become #2 making Coop expendable in the short term? Or, is he starter material down the road?

Hopefully, this joke of a supposed playoffs run will end sooner rather than later. And, we can move on to the true Lance evaluation. The fact is we need a mobile QB in the modern NFL and Dak is not that nor is he much of a pocket passer. He looks more like a relic left over from the past NFL.I don’t see 4 more years of Dak amounting to anything fruitful.
