Players available at 24 vs Cowboys Board

Stephen Jones has repeatedly said that they'll look for a top rated player to fall to #24 regardless of position and if that does not happen, then they'll draft based on position from the next tier of players.

Assuming a higher tier player does not drop to #24, then it is possible these players are available on the next tier:
1 or 2 DTs
1 or 2 LBs
1 or 2 Edge Rushers
3 to 5 OL
2 to 3 WRs
1 or 2 DBs

On OL, Linderbaum, Zion, Green could all be available.
- Due to position value, it's possible that the Cowboys have Raimann or Tyler Smith on this tier also.
- Also, Penning could drop to #24. Some analysts think he needs a year before starting in the NFL.

A trade down, even if for less than chart value, would be very appealing in this scenario.

It is highly likely that a higher tier player on multiple other team's boards remains available at #24.

What if one of Detroit's top rated Edge rushers is available at #24?
- Detroit has pick #32.

Green Bay with picks #22 and #28 might have had split opinions within their draft room on which player to take at #22. Then the other player remains available at #24. GB gets both players that they wanted by trading up from #28.

If Linderbaum, Zion or Green are available I am happy with Green or Johnson.

If it's Raimann or Tyler, I would be happy only in a trade down.

Trading down (draft day) is not easy , you need some willing trade partner who has a need and want the player on board.

Go with BPA and in the order of our needs , thats all anyone can do.

I have a feeling at our spot there are going to be at least 3 or 4 guys that we have talked about wanting so I so I definitely feel they should trade back 4-5 spots and hopefully pick up a 3rd

I think you may be correct; especially if there is a run on the WR’s and a couple of QB’s are picked ahead of us. It will be interesting to watch
