Appears not to be a good pick, but we did him no favors by asking him to lose 30 lbs in an attempt to be someone he is not.

If that was the plan, why would you draft him in the first round? That sounds more like a 5th round development pick to me.

Thats whats being said so who really knows. Sounds like a cop out to me. His college tape was terrible, slow off the ball I hated the pick and wouldn't have touched him till round 3. The NT that went to the browns in round 3 was same exact player maybe even better than Mazi.

Cowboys apparently thought they new better and that he was being used wrong in college. Obviously they were wrong about that one.
