I'll just leave this article about the end of McCarthy's time in Green Bay here ... for those who doubt what the players are saying MIGHT have some validity

That really wasnt all on Mike, Aaron who is a thinks he is all that a know it all and his crap dont stink had a hand into causing rifts in the locker room.
MM has given control over the offense to KM and thats a good thing. Its the DEFENSE and his hire of Nolan that isnt popular with the players. Nolan has become the Linehan of this defense. I doubt that they will fire Mike especially with all the injuries that we have but Nolan is slowly putting the nails in his coffin. To be fair Nolan has never had a top defense and at his hire we didnt have the personal to play this type of defense. Thats why the hiring was questionable. If we were in a rebuild year I could have seen this hire not when you had so much going on for you offensively. Then you throw in Covid and what do you have cluster crapola. The part that is even more confusing is why bring in and sign 4-3 type of defensive players KNOWING they dont fit Nolans scheme?? None of this makes any sense as a well run team.
Either we get rid of the players that dont fit his scheme or we get rid of the Coach. Until then fasten your seat belts its going to be a very bumpy ride.

So it's not just the defense that didn't have a clue.

1. Rob Davis - Assistant head coach

Davis joins the Cowboys as assistant head coach on the behest of McCarthy, and that's a hefty title he's landed -- having no previous experience whatsoever as a coach in any capacity, or at any level of any sport.

2. Maurice Linguist - Secondary
...this will be Linguist's first time in the NFL...

Two key positions filled with novice NFL coaches, that can't be good, especially with Moore, himself pretty green....

Yes the players need to step up and be held accountable, but that’s literally a coaches job - to hold them accountable. To create a culture and an atmosphere where the players do their jobs, respect each other and know exactly what’s expected of them day in and day out. To play a smart game and not make stupid mistakes. To make informed football decisions that outsmart the other team and set the team up for victory. To hire competent coordinators and position coaches. To light a fire in your players to play for themselves and each other. That’s the formula behind successful teams across the NFL. You can’t just walk in somewhere, throw a bunch of athletes together, say “have at it, you know what to do” and call it a team.

This regime is just a continuation of what we’ve had for the past decade plus. Comfortable, complacent and underperforming.

Continues to confuse me that when you show up citing specific links and context as to who this HC truly is, that there is such lack of response to how obvious the train wreck of a hire this truly was.

People believe what they wanna believe and wanted a JG change so bad and all..

But I mean how much more do you got to show to convince these people?

I’ve been surprised how many people in the DFW area are saying they’re done with the Cowboys until some real change happens.

For our fans who don’t live in the Dallas area, I’ve lived in the Dallas-FW metroplex all but 3 of my 62 years. I’ve been a Cowboys fan since I was 6. I’ve never seen or heard more venom for Jerry and his kids than the last few weeks. People here are sick of this S show. There’s real “Jones Fatigue”. My 86 year old father, who’s been a Cowboys fan since 1960, said he won’t watch Cowboys games any more.

Don’t know what it’s like outside this area, but the sports radio stations in Dallas are on fire with anti-Jones rhetoric. Because people here know exactly why this thing sucks. It’s the doings of the fool in the owner’s box.

I can only speak for myself, but we're a laughing stock out of the market too.

Most of my friends are Panthers fans and even they are laughing at me. Their team at least tries. I'm also on a Slack channel with all the guys in my fantasy football league and every day I wake up to a new meme making fun of us. I used to get furious and defensive and upset, but all you can do at this point is laugh.

As far as Moss goes, if he's only there to be MM's eyes and ears, then he's useless as far as helping the team win, same as if he was in an actual coach's position and responsible for coaching the players...

This is true but w/o preseason games, they didn't get a chance test system against live competition until the regular-season started it.
It's why some were saying the first 4 regular-season games were like preseason.

The players would have more credibility if they actually hustled and tried. Bad coaches will eventually get exposed.

To get blown off the line, zero hustle, poor tackling, and an inability to understand the new play scheme falls on them. Players got sucked into the cowboys entertainment/ entitlement/ no discipline culture for far to long. When **** hits the fan of course they going to cry

Usually when a player speaks out like this, its THE PLAYER .not the staff, that is the main issue. Ask Bill Parcells. He agrees with this. He said you can't win with guys like that. I agree. Gotta get the old Garrett culture loyalists out of there. They had it easy and when MM came to town he wanted to change that and they are fighting this tooth and nail. This happens alot anytime there is a coaching regime change and complete overhaul. MM is caught betwix and between in an oddball position/year. He never had a fair chance to sort the team out like he wanted. I think he deserves a mulligan in year 1. THAT SAID, the caveat is...we must see some kind of trend upward on the way tp 2021. If we do not see discernable improvement as time goes, he very well could be let go this year or step down. Dallas is a huge pressure cooker to coach in and has left many a coach in its wake. MM was in an obscure sports market in GB for many years where all the focus wasn't on he and the team. He could put his nose down and work without anyone noticing. NOT SO MUCH HERE. I am not sure he can adjust to this to be honest. It could be a bad fit. Time will tell.
