He just doesn't have any burst off the corner as a pass rusher.....and just doesn't drop into coverage very well.

I do think some moves are overrated, but I can't not give credit to flipping an aging All Pro one year before you'll be releasing him for a promising sophomore and a mid round pick.

He's clearly got some talent. Is he a special talent? No, not at all. But he is good enough to play in this league. People think "7th round pick" but I believe that he likely was more a 4th-5th round talent. Some teams likely took him off their draft board because they viewed him as 3-4 OLB, some took him off for non-football reasons, and others may have been especially harsh in evaluating his film so as to avoid having a situation where he was the top guy left on their board at some point.

Tuna drafted Carpenter. Only reason I would be interested in Jeffcoat is because of his quickness on the outside it has nothing to do with his dad.

I guess that is one man's opinion. I watched him enough at UT to know he does not shy away from contact.

I don't usually pine for players, but I'd keep a close eye out for Michael Sam. The guy has 3 sacks in 3 preseason games and has been all over the field when he plays. I really can't understand how the guy lasted until the 7th round, but what's done is done. Fortunately for us, he's on the best D-line in the NFL and might not make the team. I think he'd instantly come in and be one of our best pass rushers.

and in the meantime I would like to see Dallas get someone with quickness on the outside be it Jeffcoat or Sam or Westbrook once Rams determine who will stay and who will go. Other teams are also looking at players who have been released to help shore up some area I fully expect the Cowboys to be looking as well

Oh I didn't even know about that deal. For whatever reason teams like to be dumb when it comes to the Patriots. I thought you were referring to that other stupid deal they got from the Raiders. No one else gets deals like them for some reason.
