Started looking through the offensive skill positions. I tried to cover some players I have not seen here yet( I've probably missed the thread), as to avoid an echo chamber. WRs and RBs that have peaked my interest:
RB - Israel Abanikanda
Pittsburgh 5'11" 215 lbs
Highly productive at Pitt posting 1426 yards on 241 attempts for 5.9 ypc, with 20 TDs. Has all of the tools to be a good pass blocker. Runs forward and gets the tough yards. While Zeke was putrid this year, he did excel in short yardage and goal line carries. I feel Israel can do that and his the ability to break for huge chunks. Should be able to get in the mid to late rounds of the draft. He has definitely caught my eye.
RB - Eric Gray
Oklahoma 5'10" 211 lbs
Another productive back posting 1372 yards on 212 carries for 6.5 ypc, with 11 TDs. I like Gray because he runs smart. He doesn't seek out contact unless the moment calls for it. Shifty back with good acceleration and speed. Has the ability to get low when called upon to do so. Should develop into a solid run blocker at the next level.
RB - Chase Brown
Illinois 5'11" 205 lbs
I love everything about this RB, except he does not play strong at all. But, he is a playmaker. Dropping 1632 yards on 329 carries for an average of 5.0 ypc, with 10 TDs in his final year. Dude can just break it for TDs. Has legit receiving ability. Would probably thrive in a one cut zone scheme. There is a role for him on every team.
WR - Charlie Jones
Purdue 6'0" 188 lbs
His 2022 stat line consisted of 110 catches for 1,361 yards 12 TD. Guys runs a full route tree, understands how to get in and out of his cuts. Reliable hands. I think he is more suited for a slot role, but he has the ability to play outside if needs to. This guy gets open, which is the most important trait when picking a Dak friendly WR.
WR - Nathaniel Dell
Houston 5'10" 165 lbs
Dude is severely undersized and massively talented. Went off against Sauce Gardner before left to the NFL, Dell brings a lot of game in a light package. Posted 102 catches for 1355 yards for an average of 13.3 yards per catch and 15 TDs. Guy has all the traits to develop into a dominant slot role. Talent could prove him valuable in other roles, but his size will likely be a problem.
WR - Rashee Rice
SMU 6'2" 203 lbs
Productive this year with 96 catches for 1344 yards for an average of 14.0 yards per catch and 10 TDs. Dude has all the makings of legit NFL WR. Uses hands well, has a skillset which will help expand runs route tree. Does a great job adjusting body to make difficult catches. Great speed for size. Can flex in and out.
