Players who've risen too far

Will Hernandez G (UTEP). The guy is STARVING for a win. (UTEP went 0-12 in 2016 & his team lost the Senior Bowl).

Very aggressive on the field. Excellent run blocker, and showed he can pull as well. He says he modelled his play after Incognito and he plays w/ that mean streak.

He's a VERY hard worker. The OL guys in Dallas would take to him as quickly as he to them.
brother, this is an overrated thread... i am pretty sure you don't mean hernandez is overrated.

Roquon Smith. Looks like a great run-and-hit Will prospect, but the top 10 talk blows my mind. He can't take on blocks, he just runs around blockers.

I was thinking about saying this but wasn't up for the arguments it would've drawn as a lot of fans seems to think hes a lock for all pro.

I think he's a solid first rounder, but more of a mid/late first round talent.

Yes, in the 2nd round

I like this topic and I feel you hit the nail on the head with #1. I like Davenport and wanted him in the 3rd as a project DE early on, now this top 10 overall hype is absolutely ridoculous. I saw him go 7th in a mock today. I feel he is more of a mid-2nd rounder.

I gave you praise, but I'll also say that I disagree with Wynn & Mayfield. Hell some are still mocking Baker after Josh Allen, which is lunacy to me.

I'll give some of my own. Tremaine Edmunds-I like him, hes young, hes fast, hes huge, hes good out in space, but I dont see him as a top 15 player or better than Roquan. There's a lot more projection to his evaluation than I'd like in a top 15 player, and many are mocking him in the top 5-10.

Ive already hit on Josh Allen. He has a top 5 pick QB body and athleticism, with UDFA decision making ans accuracy.

Orlando Brown is my last one. He's more of a bottom 2nd rounder to me than a 1st rounder. Doesnt play with technique, more so raw strength which will be tougher at the next level.

I like it when this happens because it pushes good guys down to us.

Our O-line’s problem is they lost their attitude. They all need to play like the b***h across from them owes them $$. Hernandez would help us get the nasty back.

Zack Martin was 6-4 308, OGs do not have to be 325 to anchor. They can see on film if they can do that.

I've been thinking the same thing. Dude gets manhandled with blockers. He'll def need a space eater in front of him, and is probably better suited inside in a 3-4 and as a WILL in the 4-3 in the pros.

My Orlando Brown take is shaping up nicely.

Most players are over drafted because of need
Doesn’t really matter as long as they turn out to be good players
People complained we over drafted a center at one time, and he turned out alright

Thank you for posting this!! I rewatched some of his film last night. Just reaffirmed original evaluation. He is not an NFL MLB, operating in space is his strength. Why not view him as a OLB\SS hybrid & utilize him accordingly? Lee, Hitchens (or other true MLB), J Smith as your LB's with R Smith as your SS sounds pretty appealing to me.

Every small school prospect. Rule of thumb: grade them & then drop it by at least one full round. (A little less harsh for some positions such as RB)

Yes, occasionally a diamond will be found & the finder will be glorified on the talk shows. The other 99.5% of scouts & GM's that swing & miss will be in the unemployment line.
