Both took injury risk and passed on deals hoping for more and rolled craps.

Our gain?

Yeah both gambled and lost....pity because both "deserved" to be paid. At least Ty's not a chronic injury like Nomar..

Not our gain, Nors, but fairly likely the Jets'. :)

Supply/demand

He's not getting that kind of money candidly and I never heard of any substantive Pats offer. They cut him.

What does that tell you? That 31 other teams are missing something on a medical report about this guy? The fact that Miami (who needs a DB backs in a big way) is only offering the vet min for this guy...

Then, don't forget that he's represented by the Poston clowns...

I really don't get the fascination...but if he does make it to Dallas it speaks volumes that he really has no other options available. We're stacked at DB and wanting to get a look at Davis at FS, with Reese as insurance policy. Jerry's not going to write a check to Law unless we suffer MAJOR injuries in TC.

lynn scott will be our fs this year. roy and lynn gonna be a devastating duo. i know a lot of people here don't like lynn, but with the chance to go into training camp as a potential starter instead of a backup...........he will do just fine.

justin or lynn will be our starting free safety this year.

I hope you're wrong - as both these guys are SS.

He proves he can run and play - maybe teams not in the game make a run at him. FS is a natural progression for him. He is very, very skilled at playing zone coverage and has the read insticts.

Parcells know all that well versed. Can we get a Parcells discount? The longer this thread is open, the odds are going up to the possibility!

I just don't see the "demand" for a broken down CB to come in and play FS.

Just because you never heard of the offer doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I believe it was Mickey who reported it in his last Mick's Mail. 24 million over 4 years and that is what he still thinks he deserves.

There will be no Parcells discount or reunion. If we make another secondary move it will be for a Safety like Lance Schulters and I am not convinced any move is certain.

Law has been free since February and not a single article or rumor from a credible source has linked him to Dallas. Time to give this up.

Time to give it up, which is likely not to happen on the Nors' front. But the Cowboys do not need a project. A guy that HOPEFULLY can recover from his injury (discount or not) and can make a complete transition from CB to safety without any drop off.

To automatically assume that a transition is likely is humorous. I don't think we would have signed Izell Reese if we were remotely interested in a guy that made a living playing CB. Plus, the boy is gimpy! No thanks!

It was time to give it up last year when Nors said he was coming here and everybody knew he wasn't.

It is highly unlikely but still a possibility until he signs. I personally think going into a season with Scott, Reese and Davis is a trainwreck at FS. Pat Kirwan on NFL network said it may take 2 weeks into camp before Law gets signed as teams start panicking.

And how did that work out at RCB last year? Seson was shot going into Minny game with no RCB, FS. Yes, lets not address FS......

The trade offer was a #2 for Law. That translated to Rogers. Who has yet to even play...... That would have been a tremendous trade. I agree with Parcells on not giving up the #1 the Pats wanted at the time.

Lets see what happens when Law is medically cleared!

If you think I am comfotable at FS then you aren't reading what I've written. I'm not. I am not comfortable giving the FS job to an injured guy any more than Davis, Reese, Scott, or Beriault. I am not comfortable giving the job to a CB. I'd much rather go after Lance Schulters than Ty Law. I like Law but he just doesn't fit in Dallas. Especially at his salary demands. Not only no to Ty Law, hell no to Ty Law.
