Too bad - we imploded at RCB as called here LAST YEAR? eh? I advocated a Law for a #2. Which was Rogers...... How would that trade look now? Law would have been in Dallas and never broken his foot in Pitts.......

As an ex Parcells player, available, Multi Pro Bowl talent - I'm not giving it up at ALL... He's better than anything we have at FS. CLEARLY!

Dude please?! This aint 1995... or even 2003. Give me the young guys and let 10 year veteran cornerbacks stay where they may...

Law still isn't in any condition to be called even a role player yet... If he had not hurt his foot, Law would still want to be the highest paid CB in the league... He is presently BADLY damaged goods and still wants a multi-year deal?

Furthermore, isn't he a Poston client?? That statement alone should permanently end this thread!!!

If Ty Law was to become a DallasCowboy this season.

Nors should be made a Moderator for the 2005 season :laugh1:

Cool - you have a better crystal ball!

Thanks for telling me where he will sign........

What day will that be on? Thanks in advance!

Again, your last four posts have been nothing more than agenda-based. Congrats Nors for being a first class jerk and for hijacking yet another thread.

I don't think it will happen, but if it will, the odds are better now than at any time.

I still expect him to sign with Miami to play corner, but Miami and Detroit have both said they wouldn't give him much over the min, so it is possible. Pittsburgh, KC and the Jets are some other possible destinations although I dont' think any of them have much cap room.

Fletch, get over yourself already...
Agenda based? What the crap is that kind of talk?

Let Nors and any other poster post what they feel might happen...
Isn't that what these forums are about?

Seems like he isn't the one coming off sounding like a jerk to me...

Lighten up Francis....

He hijacked a thread that had nothing to do with Mr. Law! Get a clue.

Well, we probably won't have to worry about that.

I'm not saying there is ZERO chance we sign Law, but it's probably not going to happen. Reasons?

First- Contrary to the spin coming from his camp, Law's foot is totally f*****. The injury is much worse and healing substantially slower than anyone is willing to admit. He won't be able to pass a physical for months.

Second- Law isn't a natural FS. Maybe he can play the position, but does he even want to?

Third- the Postons.

Fourth- There's probably another team out there (Commanders, Broncos, Bucs) that will be willing to overpay the guy to play the last couple of months of the season, if he's even healthy by then. He could be signed and put on someone's PUP list. Dallas won't offer him more than the vet minimum, pretty much eliminating the Cowboys from any Ty Law possibilities.

That pretty much sums it up. Law is washed up and represented by the Postons - Look for him to sign w/ Washington or KC

Plus, Jerry and Bill are very enamoured with the possibility of Keith Davis taking over as the starting FS, regardless what the mediots are saying in the newspapers. ;)

Honestly, I would rather entertain bringing in Deion to play FS before Law (and that's pretty bad) We've had more than enough has beens on this team over the past couple of seasons. I think Jerry has learned his lesson.

Couldn't agree more on Davis at FS - time to see if this guy and play.

Ty Law = Postons = Big dollar contract = Not Worth It!!

Last I read only Miami has a min contract offer on the table.

He may have to take a 1 year incentive laden deal. Cornerback needs dried up post draft. FS here could be his only option to play. He has a lot of respect for Parcells for putting him out there as a Rookie on an island.

Parcells players gravitate - tread very carefully crew.

Some of you just assume that Ty Law will be able to simply convert to a position he has never played. We don't have time for a gimpy project.

Why in the world would we sign him to play safety if he wants starting CB money?

Just because Miami put a low ball offer out there (that he hasn't taken by the way) it means that is his market? How exactly does that work?

FYI, in a recent article it mentioned that he turned down 24 million in 2004 to stay with the Patriots. His agents (the Postons) in that article they expect him to be one of the top paid CBs in the NFL in 2005.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't that preclude FS and a Vet minimum deal?

Supply/demand

He's not getting that kind of money candidly and I never heard of any substantive Pats offer. They cut him.

He proves he can run and play - maybe teams not in the game make a run at him. FS is a natural progression for him. He is very, very skilled at playing zone coverage and has the read insticts.

Parcells know all that well versed. Can we get a Parcells discount? The longer this thread is open, the odds are going up to the possibility!

Nors. The offer TH is referring to is the restructure/extension of the 1999 contract that the Pats put on the table two years back. The one that infuriated Ty so much he dropped his agent and hired the Postons.

That offer looks mighty big today.

Can you say Nomar?

He turned down a 4 year $60M offer..... And signed a discounted 1 year with Cubs.
