Playmaking defender needed

Of guys already on the roster, Chido might be it. A guy in the draft who could be one is Derwin James.
I would say Lewis showed some real chops also. Lee is a playmaker, when healthy. David Irving is a playmaker, when he's there to play. DLaw, also if he can string another complete season together...I'm detecting a pattern.

I really hope Richards can elevate this crew. we still need that ball hawking safety but i dont want ET at this time. Unless Richards swings it. Just draft him one and leave him be to work this magic.

We arent just 1 player away. We are systems and a HC away, so thats going to put us at 2 years min.

ditto. We can actually do enough in the draft to fix the team. Richard goes along way to masking the short comings. The guy exudes swag and a belief in what is being taught. This coaching move is HUGE I tell ya! We are 3-4 players away..that said,it can be done. Never say never in todays NFL.

I think this team is one playmaking defender away from a Super Bowl. That is why I wanted Earl Thomas. Do we have that guy on the roster today? Who can it be?

New ones?

Healthy Jaylon. Gregory? Frazier in the box? New base MLB.

Maybe Irving lasts the season.

Lots of candidates.

Wow...Garrett showed a side to him we rarely thought possible. Kinda Debunks the running narrative that he is a yes man..and too nice. He's a freakin SOB. LOL..and I LOVE IT! He demands a lot out of his players.

Unlikely. His play fizzled in the second half of the season, once teams knew he could play.

He got half his sacks in the first 4 games.

Imagine if Irving had been on the field the first and last four games of the season though. That had to affect Tank's numbers a bit. Can't say how much of course but I think both impact the other's game. It's a nice competition they have going on for sacks buybuy

Looks like he's a little more fiery than some make him out to be. What's the expression... can't judge a book by it's cover. Yeah, I'd like to see him get us deeper in the playoffs but I still put that on player execution. Would I like a HC who slaps his players upside the head on the sidelines and curses him out on national TV? No. Would I like a HC who holds the team accountable in the locker room and team meetings? Yes. Actually, I'd like a team that holds the team accountable on the field, sidelines and locker room.

If we get vea and a good lb in the draft I would take a chance with Thomas. Otherwise he's not going to be a missing piece. Tank will not repeat and Irving isn't gonna stay on the field.

Awuzie, Lewis, Jaylon and Woods all have the potential to be big playmakers. Tank and Irving already are. If we add another DT, Collins might get to play some 1T, which adds another playmaker potentially.

This team needs depth at linebacker. That's really the only *need* they have.

Simply play more aggressively will help this defends exponentially.

I like your optimism, but I think we need 3. I think we need to improve the entire middle of our defense, to have a stellar defense. Give me a play making DT-1T, MLB and Safety, and I think we're set.
:flagwave:
100% agree. We can't even make the playoffs. We are not 1 player away. Forget old man Thomas. Focus on the build. We are weak up the entire middle. Beast DT, beast MBL, beast safety needed.
