I think the Cowboys need to worry about just winning the remainder of their games and let the chip fall where they may.....

pretend we win out and the saints do, when would we play them again in the playoffs?

The odds are against us in obtaining that second bye. Saints still have the inside track, though they still have to play SD. But their win against us gives them the leg up.

... SD?

I agree that Dallas will end up with the #3 seed and should handle whoever the #6 seed is.

Dallas will then have to go to NO regardless of what happens with the #4-#5 matchup....

:bang2:
:welcome: We have 3 weeks to get this defense in order or else.

The Saints will have to lose 2 out of the next 3 (Was/NYG/Car) for us to get the #2 seed.

I think we'll win out and get the #3.

The Giants will win out and get the #5.

So we'll end up playing Atlanta at home in the first round. And then travel to New Orleans.

The Giants will beat Seattle. Then they'll beat the Bears, and travel to either N.O. or Dallas for the NFC Championship.
So what you're saying is, The Giants, who've lost 4 of their last 5, will beat Philly and NO, then go to Washington, Seattle, Chicago and New Orleans, winning 4 weeks in a row on the road against two teams (Seattle and Chicago) that already kicked their *** this year. That's awesome. Want to buy some land?

Let's hope for a Saints stumble along the way.

We still have to win out. Falcons and Eagles will be fighting for their playoff lives. Neither team will lay down for us.

Garcia is playing well in Philly. We're going to have our hands full.

Every game is going to be important ... including the Lions game in the season finale.

N.O. does not play San Diego. N.O. plays Washington and Carolina at home and the Giants on the road. Seattle plays San Diego. N.O. could drop two of these three. I don't think it'll happen, but it could. That would be sweet. Of course we have to win out.

Love talking playoff possibilities. Beats talking college draft in Dec.

I will have no satisfaction without a NO rematch. Don't care where it is.
I think they lose in NY. Losing to Was or Car at home is possible but unlikely.

We must win the next three. We need momentum. And the 3 seed looks like a sweet spot to me because:

NYG should win two of three including the Philly matchup. This will slot them in the 5 seed. They will go on the road to Seatlle, maybe S.F. but not likely.
Either way, they will have a great shot to advance to Chi.

In the 3 seed our most likely opponents in order may be: Phi, Atl, Car.
I think it's Phi. Car finishes no better than 8-8. Phi losses next two and beats Atl in Phi. Phi, Atl and Car all finish 8-8 and Phi gets the tiebreaker.
I'd take any of these three in a first round match up.

This would set up the rematch in NO. I have to have this. We lose we lose. At least we know it's no fluke and that we need to get better. I just hate the thought of them getting to the Superbowl without us getting another shot at them.

I think we stick it to them in a rematch. We then have as good a shot to see Chi on the road or NYG in Dal.

i honestly think there is a decent chance the saints loose 2 of 3 and i still think if we win out there is a decent chance we get the second seed. as for what the seattle loss means to us...helps us secure at least a 3rd seed to avoid a good giants team in the first or second round

It means we can take the #3 seed, get a home playoff game [providing we don't stink it up in Atlanta].

And hope NO loses 2 of 3, and we win out for the #2 seed.

Right now...I'll take making the playoffs and gettig a home game, then see what happens.

Nothing has really changed.
No one should have expected a long winning streak in this era.

We need to win 2 of the final 3 games and if we do so we get to 10 wins and in the playoffs. Once there I'd only be scared of the Chicago match up in Soldier Field. The second scariest might well be at NY which simply should not happen.

Win tomorrow and we will be in great shape.

The common denominator is that we MUST win in Atlana. I am really worried about the Philly match up on Chrismas and then again a few weeks later in the wild card game. I am not confident about us beating them twice in a row even with the red headed step child at QB.
