Is that 3 percent factoring a team with Zeke for the final two games?

Don't know, the computer generator wasn't that specific. It just gives you the games and you pick who you think wins. I just picked the team that had the better record in each matchup and the only way we made it in is if we won out doing it that way.

What is biting us in the arse is that we lost to virtually every playoff contender in the NFC, we don't have tiebreaker on anybody. Of course that is to be expected when our only win of the season against a team with a winning record was the Chiefs.

I don't believe it even factors in losses by teams ahead of us when they have to play each other.

Doesn't matter. We need to win out, and we need help. But it's doable.

We are on life support, but we are not dead yet;)

Now if we lose to Geno Smith and the g-spots next week..............the body will be cold and rigamortis will have set in:laugh:

For the heck of it I just projected every game and I got the Panthers and Lions making it.

Lions lose this week but then they win the rest and they’ll have the tiebreaker on us. They actually have a very easy schedule after the Ravens so it might be a good thing to root for the Ravens tomorrow because they could easily win out.

I went back and had the Bengals beat the Lions...the Cowboys got the last spot with my realistic projections.

The only thing is...

I picked the Eagles to lose to the Rams after beating Seattle this week...I just guessed they would be due for a letdown. In this scenario, the Eagles will probably play their starters against us since home field may depend on it. I have the Vikings finishing 14-2.

I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't be rooting for the Ravens since they are an AFC team. We need Detroit to lose every game they can.

Yeah if we win out we have a chance. It would probably come down to "help" the last weekend, but it would be plausible we could get in.

We really need a fortuitous weekend weekend against our competitors for the wild card spot.

Bottom line to me .......keep winning, I think 10-6 will get us in. I care nothing about the 1000 scenarios. We can't control that.........

This is where I'm at as well. Win out and we likely get into the tournament.

Looking back- It's a real shame we lost BOTH the Rams and Packers games. It'd be nice to have one of those conference wins in our back pocket right now and be 7-5. It is what it is though. We made our bed...

LOL but isn't that case every year.......one or two games you'd like to have back.

Ha, yes.....you are correct. Was just pointing out in hindsight that those two VERY winnable games may indeed end up costing us.

The blowout losses are completely on us. But we could've legitimately won at least one of those two games (Rams or Pack).

The Eagles will not rest their starters to let us get in the playoffs.
If it gets to that point. They are not going to play that hard. As soon as Wentz gets hit he will be out the game. There is a scenario they will be fighting the Vikings for the number 1 seed and have to beat us to get it. Personally I think they will be tied with the Vikings going into the final week.

Would it be better for Atlanta to win out and win the division and that eliminates the one team was head-to-head victory over us.
Of course we need Panthers and New Orleans to then lose three games each.
and the Seahawks need to lose one and then we could beat them 1
Detroit will lose a game or two even though their schedule is easy.

Best thing though is to wait and see if Dallas wins the next two games which they should.
and see who else loses and see where we stand 3 weeks from now .
I agree. There is a good chance that Carolina and the Saints will lose more games looking at their Schedule. If the Panthers beat the Saints today and the Saints lose Thursday night they will have two more loses before we play the Giants. Let's hope the South beat up on each other.

winning out at 10-6 likely gets you in. Carolina and Atlanta and NO (better root for NO) beat each other and Sea has LA, Philly and Dallas. Now is that a about a 3% chance - likely

True. Not definite but winning out likely gets you in. Dallas just needs a 3 way tie to occur at 10-6 for the WC spot(s), and not a 2 way tie with one of the teams we lost to. Dallas it appears will get in due to having the better conference record in most scenarios.

We very likely know where we stand after the game @ Oakland

I don't see the reasoning to limp into the playoffs and give this organization a false sense of security.

The only way I could find it palatable is if they blow out Seattle on out through regular season and then get into the NFCC somehow.

But we know that is not going to happen.

I am not one of those that believe "just getting into the tournament" matters a whole lot.

Nobody remembers a wildcard loser.
You don't think we are a threat if we make the playoffs? We can beat the Rams, Falcons, Panthers, and Saints in the first round.

Cowboys need Carolina to lose @ATL and @NO. These are the 2 50/50 games that can knock the Boys out.
