No matter what - if Dallas wins vs. Wash. and Philly they are in.

That statement is false. If Philly beats the Giants and loses to us and the giants win out after they lose to philly, and we only beat wash and philly we will be on the outside looking in.

Philly 11-5
NYG 10-6 (own tiebreaker over us)
Dal 10-6

Boy, this doesn't look to good for us. Green Bay has a meaningless game against Arizona in week 17 and in week 16 the Giants have one against Minnesota. All our games are tough, we are going to have to earn our way in.

Earn it?

That's the way it's supposed to be. Unfortunately many hear just want the NFL to lay down the carpet so Dallas can walk in.

What I mean is that we won't play a team that has nothing to play for, Philly,GB, and NYG will.

I think any 2 wins for us plus any 3 losses between NJ/Phi means were in. And they play on SNF so really 2 in 3 weeks.

And if one of our wins is vs Philly that should win the division

Yup...my bad on that one. Thats why I'm going for Philly this week. If Philly beats the Gnats - then that two win statement is true.

so did Pittsburg.

first and foremost, this frickin thing is awesome..I can literally sit here for hours simulating scenarios..

next, many people just want to assume that the Giants and Packers have meaningless games on their schedule..I would not go that far just yet..Many people are not taking into consideration how HUUUUUGE the cardinals victory over Min actually was for the DALLAS COWBOYS...seeing as how AZ now has the tiebreaker OVER Minnesota, these two teams just may go down to the wire for home field advantage..let's take a look at their schedules

Cardinals (8-4)
Niners
Lions
Rams
Packers

Vikings (10-2)
Bengals
Panthers
Bears
Giants

All we need is for the Cardinals to be within striking distance (1 game behind Minn) heading into week 17 and that will guarantee us that the Vikings will come to play vs the Giants.

I think it is all but a guarantee that the Cardinals will have positioning to play for come week 17 vs the packers. Whether it is for home field advantage or not, some sort of playoff positioning will be on the line is my guess.

Don't you mean you're rooting for the Giants? If the Giants beat the Eagles this week, we just have to beat the Commanders and Eagles to get in.

If the Eagles beat the Giants, we either need the Eagles to lose to someone else AND us, or we need the Giants to lose another one (if we win only the last two games and the Packers don't collapse).

while everything you are stating is true, if the Giants do defeat the Eagles, as I am expecting, they will NOT defeat the Commanders the following week. I just do not see the Giants, or any other team in this division facing 3 straight games of NFCE opponents and winning all 3. With all of that being said, just because I think the Giants are going to beat Philly this week, does not mean I am rooting for that to occur.

This makes clear how enormous the Eagles/Giants game this weekend is for them.

this is crazy...

A Cowboys win, coupled with a Giants win this weekend means that all Dallas has to do the rest of the season is defeat the Eagles and we advance to the playoffs...

I agree. The Giants need to win *barf*
