If we beat Tampa, lose to Eagles, but still beat Giants are we in ?? We would have same division record....tie breaker we beat San Fran...Giants lost to San Fran .

So, both teams are 9-7.

Head to head would be tied 1-1.

Division would be 3-3 for both.

Conference would be 7-4 for us, and 4-7 for them.

We would be in.

So technically we just have to win 1 of next 2 games ?

Even if we win next 2, and Giants lose 1 of 2, it don't matter cause if Giants beat us they are in.

We could still get wild card if Lions lose out.....and we win a few

You are forgetting common opponents Hos, that goes before Conference record. I think they get us there if we lose to the Eagles and they beat wash and the Jets.

In truth, yes. It still hinges upon us beating them the last week of the season. We cannot have the same record as them with a sweep. They win the first tie breaker that way.

We're going to run the table in the last 3 games.

I'm so pissed off that we gave the Giants new life. Out of all the teams to lose to it had to be the team I hate the most

I still have confidence we'll make the playoffs, but its a shame this team had to make it harder then it shouldve been :(

No.
If the Giants win the next two, we must beat Phili and the Giants to be in.
We can lose to Tampa next week and we still control our own destiny.

No, I factored in the Division games. These are then the common opponents.

Jets, Patriots, Bills, Dolphins, Rams, 49ers, Seahawks, and Cardinals.

5-3 for us.

5-3 for them too.

Correction, if they beat the Jets they'd be 6-2. They would be in with the same 9-7 record under that scenario.

NO, we would not be in..like another poster mentioned, we would lose the tiebreaker based on common opponents

That's only if we end up tied. If the Giants lose to either the Commanders or the Jets in this situation, we would be in.

correct..but I would imagine the OP knows if we have a better record than the Giants we would get in..

So to do this correctly since I skipped a tie breaker. Based upon your scenario

Dallas...9-7
New York...9-7

Head to head...1-1

Dallas...3-3 in the NFC East (2 over Commanders, 1 over Giants)
New York...3-3 in the NFC East (1 over Cowboys, 1 over Commanders, 1 over Eagles)

Dallas...5-3 over common opponents (Bills, Rams, Seahawks, Dolphins, & 49ers)

New York...6-2 (Jets, Patriots, Dolphins, Bills, Cardinals, & Rams)

Under your scenario they would win the NFC East.

Any way we can make the playoffs if we lose to the Giants in week 17?

Cause we aint beating them in NY, not with this defense.

Giants would have to lose next two finishing 8-8 and we would have to win our next two, finishing at 9-7

Your answer is so obvious that it is easy to ascertain that his post was just so he could gripe about the Head Coach in a thread not about him.

Cue Jim Mora :
You talkin playoffs ??????????????????????????????????
PLAYOFFS ??????????????????????????????????????????

To me it is easy, win 3 you’re in. Lose and you are at someone else’s mercy.

If Cowboys are to make it they need to take care of these 3 remaining games
