Please, if he is still around in the late rounds, Cam Skattebo

One of the few players left I’m watching and hoping is there.

It would fit the same trenches philosophy as drafting Booker. Occasionally getting you15 yard gains is nice… but more importantly I want the guy who consistently gets me 2 yards on 3rd/4th and 1. Not sure there are a lot of guys left that can do that.

We’re going to have RB by committee and some of his strengths align with exactly what we need. His character traits, fight and energy are a big plus. Draft him and maybe a speedster late if they are there in a deep RB draft. Trade up or he’ll be gone.

I really like what the Chargers are doing and expect them to maybe look at him if he’s there late to supplement Hampton.

Here are a couple of his strengths that stood out.
  • Runs with tremendous forward lean and natural leverage, consistently falling forward through contact while maintaining outstanding balance through trash - reminds me of a young Maurice Jones-Drew in traffic
  • Elite contact balance shows up repeatedly on film, particularly in his signature performance against Mississippi State where he broke 12 tackles en route to 262 yards
  • More skilled as a receiver than his background suggests - natural hands catcher who adjusts well to throws and shows good feel finding soft spots against zone
  • Exceptional vision to spot cutback lanes and anticipate blocks developing, consistently making correct read even when initial hole is clogged
  • Runs with infectious energy and competitiveness - type of back who energizes an offense with his physical, punishing style between the tackles
  • Reliable short-yardage and goal-line back who converted 78% of third-and-short situations in 2024 thanks to natural leverage and leg drive

He's easily my favorite RB in this years draft. He was so fun to watch last year. Not sure if he'll be as good in the pros but man was he fun to watch.

I’d try to trade up from 149….so many late draft picks that we don’t need. I think by pick 120 or so there won’t be any offensive skill guys remaining that can reliably impact next season.

No. Please. He is a 5th rounder all day. Go read the scouting reports.
Well isn’t that where the Cowboys will pick? He is a good solid runner and would complement this run scheme with this OL.

I would rather have him than the backs currently on the roster. Bunch of jags .

I live east of Sacramento. I got to watch him tear up the Big Sky with the Hornets. He transferred to AZ State, PAC 12/Big 12, a move up in class, and he was even better. If heart and attitude make a difference he’s going to be a great get by some NFL team.

Remember, Deuce was fun to watch in college too. Having made that point, I believe Skattebo will have a brighter future in the NFL.

We could pick up DT Desmond Watson in the later rounds. He's two defensive lineman!!
